Remounting my chronics

so last year, i got me some chronics. first twin, w/e no big. paid for that shit, i love em. i got them mounted at recommended cuz i didnt think i'd do insane shit. but the fat that they're mounted 6cm is f'ed. so i'm getting them remounted this year.

BUT, my question is, should i mount them at dead center? or 1cm back or dead center? i want them dead center for that good balance point, but am afraid they'll ski like absolute shit anywhere else.

comments?

Line measures their center as "center of edge contact" rather than direct measured (chord) center (an Afterbang is contact center vs chord center). So a Chronic's recommended mounting point isn't really 6cm back. However you measure it up, the ski was designed with that as the mounting point as it is more of an all mountain park ski. Did you like it or are you just looking to change it up?

I would hesitate going dead nuts chord center on an asymmetric ski - it's really not designed for it, but you do see people doing it. I would go off these guidelines:

1cm back - 90% park, 10% all mountain

2cm - 3cm back - 70/30

4cm- 5cm back - 50/50

I just had my chronics mounted at -3. People always say thats a really solid spot for mounting chronics. But I haven't skied on them yet so i cant really say.
