Remounting in the same holes question

A couple weeks ago a rep gave me a new set of FKS base plates for free. My current breaks/ plates are starting to fall apart. (Cosmetic cracks in both base plates, bent and flared out breaks, one break arm is missing) So end of the season i was thinking about switching out the old ones so i dont have to deal with break hassles beginning of next year.

My question is I don't want to move the mount forward or back, and i just want to remount in the same heal holes. Is this possible? Will the binding be more prone to ripping out?

Oh and I'm riding 85 waisted ghettos.

My PEs were remounted twice with the same hole pattern in the same holes (first mount Salomon s810s, second mount S916s, Third mount, s810s again) and they held up fine. I don't think it would be a problem.

Go for it. If you strip one out just heli coil it and you are set. Back in the day we used to pre helicoil our race and training skis to save on having to buy two sets of bindings. You can give me shit for racing, but I don't do it anymore. I know race skis are different in construction, they have a big sheet of metal under the first layer of glass, but since you are only doing the remount once I think you will be fine.
