Remounting in same holes?

I just bought a new pair of skis, i want to transfer over my bindings from my old pair and transfer bindings from my even older pair to those. Basically just rotate my bindings up newer skis. The oldest 2 pairs have been center mounted which i want to keep. can i remount in the same holes and hope they stay? maybe add some epoxy to the wholes for some extra stick?

It's fine, do it. Epoxy and fibreglass insulation in the holes if you're paranoid.

If you've got some skills with tools, or a shop near you who'll do extra work try putting inserts like www.bindingfreedom.com in the skis. I've been using these for years now and makes swapping bindings incredibly easy

Do not remount in the same hole. This weakens the mount drastically. If keeping the same hole pattern is that important use helicoils to remount. Takes more time but much stronger.

do you need to coat the outside of the inserts before placing them in the ski?and do you need to coat the inside of the inserts before mounting the binding screws?

wish i saw this page earlier

This might answer some of you questions about the process.
