Remounting binding, need help/advice

So i'm in the process of buying used skis and I'm not sure if the bindings are mounted where I want them. They are mounted midsole and I honestly don't know where that is. The bindings are marker jesters and the skis have a wood core so I was wondering if I had to get them remounted would it be an issue to do so? Also any advice on midsole mounting would be great, like where it is compared to an alpine mount. Sorry for my ignorance but I have always bought new skis and have gotten them mounted true center.

Midsole, means that they line the midsole of your boot up to the point on teh ski you want to mount the bindings. For example if you want your skis centre mounted, you find the centre of teh ski, mark that point, Then line the midsole of the boot up to this point. In actuall fact you line the mid sole point of the jig to the mounting point on teh skis.

Remounting the skis will be fine, it wont effect them at all. You may want to chek the condition of the old holes though. If they have started to pull out slightly then water may have got in and started to damage the core. If you have chance to have a good look at them definatly do, If the holes are raised allot or you can see any screw then there proberbly not worth the risk. So dont buy them unless you can inspect them properly, or even better go have them looked at by a shop tech. If the seller knows there in good condition im sure they will agree to this, if there not happy to do this it prob means they know something is wrong with them.

Hope that helps.

Its inpossible to know, you mount to the centre of the boot but that could be at any point of the ski. The midsole of the boot, and mounting point of the ski are very differnt. From the info you gave there is no way of knowing what point on the ski the bindings are mounted.
