Remount with the same holes?

This is a pretty stupid question but I just wanna be sure. Can i just take my pivot toe bindings off and put other ones on without worrying or should I epoxy the new ones in or sumn? Not tryna rip the bindings out.

Take it to a shop, they should put inserts in the holes and redrill them, if the hole is not stripped you should be able to epoxy them back in but plugging them would be a safer option

Yeah they are older white pivot 14s and the holes are one season old, the current binding toes are ‘22 pivots. I assume they have the same hole pattern.

They should have the same hole pattern. I've remounted bindings in the same holes, using epoxy with no issues

Epoxy with cut up fiberglass cloth has worked very well in my experience

As long as you screw them in by hand you should be good. Make sure not to strip the holes and throw some wood glue in there to waterproof it. Worst case you can helicoil it

You can definitely reuse holes just gotta be careful you dont strip the threads when putting the screws back in. Fill the hole with waterproof wood glue first, then slowly twist the screw down into the hole until it stops. Check for gaps underneath the toe to be sure you are all the way at the bottom, and be careful you dont go beyond the bottom or you'll get a spinner and need to helicoil. Some people suggest turning the screw backwards first to feel for where the threads start, but thats never really worked for me, might be worth trying tho

resuse with regular woodglue will be fine 95% of the time. kinda depends on ski as well, soft lightweight noodle or proper ski

use a manual screwdriver and make sure they go down same threads without rethreading, your good.

if they feel like shit, the epoxy, dust, steel wool.. or just inserts is the ticket.
