remount demo bindings

hey I got some nice PEs with salomon 912ti bindings but they are the adjustable demo kind and I was wondering what I could do to remount them. Can you just remove the adjustable plate that is beneath or what? I just don't know anything about this stuff, I'e never mounted my own skis. Thanks.

if you are remounting the skis, get a different binding that isnt a demo binding.

Demo bindings look the same, but cannot be made into retail ones. You will need to buy retail bindings and get them fitted. You might be able to remount the new bindings in the same holes, if you get the 912s again. That would help keep the skis stronger.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
 
the demo and retail binding dont use the same holes at all. also, if you take off the plate, it wont give you a regular binding. its a whole different construction. so if you want to ride something else than demo, get your skis inserted with plugs, and mount whatever bindings you want to buy on it.

some of the bindings claim they can be used as a regular mount. A couple of different shops claim the 810 ti demo can be remounted. Is this true? or do they just say that to sell?

i dont know if he meant he was going to mount them himselve, if so, dont do that if you dont know what you are doing.

Using demo binding are fun you can change the ski by adjusting the binding around if I were you I would just keep the demo binding on the skis

not true willbski9. most demo bindings now only weigh 10 grams more than regular bindings because of the plate. but 10 grams = almost nothing, so.... the only problem with demo bindings is the weakness of the binding
