Remodeling Room Ideas?

Hey NSG, has anyone recently redone there dorm room or room at home. Did you use any creative or chill ideas? If so, please share them or post pics! Thanks a ton NSG!
 
If you have a lot of books go buy a nice bookshelf and display them. I couldn't afford a nice solid wood bookshelf but I picked up a decent looking one from ikea and it makes my room look so much classier than before when they were in boxes in my closet. Also buy frames for your posters and get a girl to make all of the colour decisions for you.
 
put your bed on stilts and put your computer desk under it. then put a couch in your room and have it set up like a lounge. my buddy did that back in first year when i was in residence and it was like the hangout room. bitches loved it. they just wanted to climb up and lay in his bed, and as a young male, that's exactly what you want - women inviting themselves into your bed.
 
We called this "lofting," and 99% of people living in the dorms where I went to school did this. Your desk went under your bed, and every room came with a couch. THERE'S SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES!
 
by 'activities' i assume you're talking about educational activities? such as studying, writing papers, reports, etc ?
 
my walls are all collaged with posters, banners, old license plates, pictures of friends, trail maps, ect.. it turned out pretty cool but makes the room seem way smaller.
 
if you're on a budget, ikea has some good options. not the best quality, but it's cheap and gets the job done. i've been expirementing with combining different peices in ways they wern't intended to be used. basically combined 4 peices to build a 40 foot entertainment center/bookshelf that looks really sick and only ran around a g. similar piece would be 4g's+ from anywhere else.
