Remembering Warren Miller on Veterans Day

Warren Miller is undoubtedly the ultimate OG of skiing. He literally created the ski movie format and industry we have today and started making movies going back to the 1950s.

However, something you may not have knows is he was a WWII Vet in the Navy on a sub chaser in the Pacific Theater. His ship was caught in a Typhoon and sunk and he was credited for saving many of he crew. The sinking is also what gave him leave from the Military to start filming skiing.

So take a min to remember the guy who stated it all and his contribution to both our sport but our Country as well.

That is badass, I had no idea! Also worth noting is that 10th mountain division veterans practically started the ski industry in the USA after stacking nazi bodies in some of the gnarliest terrain in Europe during WW2.
