I posted awhile back asking for opions on Skogens... I had also mentioned Line being a TRUE twin tip ski...

Well, I got a lot of shit for saying that but if you read the Sept. issue of POWDER you'll notice in the review section for skis they actually use my exact phrase. 'true twin tip'

Screw all of you who gave me shit!!!

Especially alpintalik, tell it to the people at POWDER dick!!!

SnowRide 4 Life!!

the line thing was cool, give it up. there is about 20 skis that kill line, line is cool if you are just skiing park, but they blow as all mtn skis. get some realy sticks.

.....-west

I wonder if west knows this for sure or if he heard it from some other guy on this site? Hmm... I couldn't give a fuck how you people think they are in the pow, most of you people don't even have pow where you live. Hell, on my old beater skis I got stuck in 5 feet of fluffy pow on the side of a run, I was stuck for some time but it was fun. It's good to have a challenge.

Doesn't matter what ski you ride, it matters how good of an actual skier you are.

yah no shit, but no matter what kind of skier you are, it doesn't make sense to get pow skis for a east coast park, just like you wouldn't get mogul skis for west coast pow. your right about the skier is what matters, but good skis help.

.....-west

west have you ever skiid on lines??

I love it when people say things like...

'the line thing was cool, give it up' or 'get some real sticks' just because they ride some other ski.

I know that there are a lot of good skis out there but Line(besides Solomon) is the company has revolutionized skiing and others are now following.

No need to get mad, just remember where the concepts, ideas and engineering come from.

SnowRide 4 Life!!

you're right, sorry bro. i'm in a bad mood cause i was supposed to read these 2 books over the summer and i didn't even start the one of them and school starts tom., line does kick ass.

.....-west

how did line revolutionize skiing? they weren't the fist people to make twins or anything? Sure they have a sick team, except for ban larsen (ha), but the atheletes would ski just as well on other skis? Maybe you mean graphic wise? Well, I think snowbaording revolutionzed skiing in that sense, as well as every sense.

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Jibbin' For Jesus

I am reading the Sept. 02 issue as we speak...i am also reading the line review and no where does it say 'true twin tip'. However, it does say 'equal heights at tip and tail' I never had a problem with you, it sucks that you can't hold a debate with out taking offense. Its not like you can or are going to do something about it. If you are going to try and quote a magazine maybe you actually should.

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Jibbin' For Jesus

I see that you are one those that always has to be right(you may try reading more than just the Line review) and of course I take offense. You didn't have to reply to my post and when you reply it's just.... asshole, please correct me if your just joking with me... but that's what you do make jokes at other peoples expense.

I'm talking about the way skis are made and hell ya snowboarding has influenced skiing in great ways. I don't have a problem with snowboarding, I just have a problem with assholes who happen to snowboard and think they are better than everyone!

SnowRide 4 Life!!

Everybody makes fun of everybody else...don't tell me that you have never laughed watching someone eat shit or get kicked in the junk. Anyways, look at my posts for shits sake! More often then not I am making fun of my self, go ahead and take a look. YOu originally talked about line being the only 'true' twin tip, which I questioned because i don't know what that means...if it means equal tip and tail it is not the only one, if it means 'true' like true to the game thats arguable, which I did. Arguments are something you encounter every day and don't have to get all steamy about, especially over the internet. Just because it says it in a magazine doesn't mean that it can't be disputed...believe you me, powder is not the final word when it comes to jibbing. Also, please tell me where it says that line is a true twin tip, I want to read it so I can further educate myself, if they give a good reason why i might have to agree. And as for that, as a straight male it is in my blood to believe in my point to the very end, even after i have been proved wrong...you are doing the exact same thing. Keep this shit on track, I'm not talking shit to you or about you, Im just trying to have a little discussion here, if you want to take the easy way out and talk shit to someone you don't even know except for what he says online go ahead and waste your time.

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Jibbin' For Jesus

Another point: in your first post in this thread you said you read the whole 'True' shit in the ski review...now you're telling me i have to look elsewhere in the mag? I'm confused...the balls in your court..shoot.

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Jibbin' For Jesus

blah, blah, blah it takes two posts for you to say blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.....

And you say that I'm all heated?

I never said look in the Line review section.

I'm just doing the same thing as you arguing my point, the same way you do... You don't like it when someone does it to you, do you? That's why it takes you two posts.

Remember it was you that started the whole 'What the fuck is a true twin tip? The only thing that is true is that I'm gonna kick your ass for saying something that stupid. Didn't you read that you have to be at least 13 to be on this site?'

Yea, that doesn't sound asshole and I'M talking shit?

SnowRide 4 Life!!

Well then, thats not really talking shit, but if you take it that way thats you not me. As for you not saying that it wasn't in the review section, allow me to quote you:

'Well, I got a lot of shit for saying that but if you read the Sept. issue of POWDER you'll notice in the review section for skis they actually use my exact phrase. 'true twin tip' '

And you still haven't told me where to look, please! I am curious, I have nothing else to do except toil with yet another line argument and read powder and it seems you are in the same position. Proceed. I am getting tired.

I gotta friend with a pole in the basement.

Haha, I guess what I said was pretty assholish...I probably just got off work or something. Thanks for bringing it back up though, I forgot how goddammed funny I am.

I'm getting tired also. I'm not going to hold your hand. So, if one day you are reading an old Sept issue of POWDER, I don't know why anyone would, but you'll probably find it someday. Good Luck!

This isn't about Line skis.

SnowRide 4 Life!!

Next shit I take I will dig up an old Sept powder and find it, you have inspired me. I want to thank you for making this website a better place.

I gotta friend with a pole in the basement.

What?

I'm just kiddin' like Jason.

Oh.

umm what? I've got a question do you mean true as in true to the twin tip revolution? or true twin tip as in the front tip is the same shape as the tail?

you should clarify before you get into debates with people.

I was talk about the SKI being true twin tip. If you can't figure it out, I can't help you any further... And no need to get mad, I'm not putting down any other ski in any way. This seems to be the way people react.

As for the above comment. Good job, your getting close, keep reading.

We all realize that you are talking about the ski...but what do you mean by 'true'? Could you please tell me where it says it in the mag...or does it not exist?

I really don't need prove that it's in the mag because I already know it's there... if you can't find it that's your fault... my eyes don't decive me.

Humm, lets if I'm talking about the SKI being true twin tip then most people would realize I was talking about the physical features of the SKI but whatever I'm getting tired of talking about it.

are you like 5 years old dude? thats what fuckin 5 yerar olds do, blah blah blah, u didnt even defend yourself on that one, just said blah blah blah, and alp didnt even make fun of you, he simply said you were wrong, and i said it took you two posts to say blah blah blah? thats just gay dude, and by the way, line is liegaly the only company that can make equal tip and tail products, other companies need their permision, its a patent, and by the way, line is the only true twin tip, but you could make it like 1/100 of a cm off, and it would still be a true one, or would u say its not TRUE TWIN!!! no, it doesnt really matter, my friend can land switch on regular skis, most people can ride swithch on normal ones, but ya, it doesnt really matter...

does line really have a patent on the real twin tip that would mean that they were true to the sport that gay

I'm hungry

No, actually I'm 6 years but close. Good job.

Once again, I never said Line was the ONLY true twin tip.

Of course anyone can ride switch on pretty much any ski but does it make it a twin tip ski? I used ride switch on my old skis, does that mean I'm gonna remount my bindings more centered and try to turn up my tail? No, I'm going to buy some twins!

And yes what I said was made fun of, called stupid, whatever... I was showing everyone that I'm not the only one who think or say something like that. Just my opinion though and people all pissed because they ride some other ski.

wow, all this post proved is that 'jvpfh20' is gay and alpentalik kicks your ass. jvpfh20 stop being a whiney bitch. we all mess with each other in here. if you can handle it , log off and go ask you mom for another sponge bath.

.....-west

I just want to piss off jvphf20 some more... I see you think that Line has 'revolutionized skiing'. Line revolutionized snowlerblading. When new-school skiing took off, that's what they were doing. Then they jumped on the band wagon....

...just fanning the flames....

Dude, I'm so pissed off right now!!! You guys hurt my feelings so much. I think I'll log off now for my sponge bath. That actually sounds good. Thanks for the idea.

So, educate me, where did the idea for twin tip skis come from?

Here's the hint Pg 66

ok, ive heard of twintips that were made in the 70's, but line does have a patent on the 'equal tip and tail height', i'll try to dig up the old 99/00 product cataloge to prove it.

This subversive propaganda has been brought to you by The Republican Army.

How can you patent size? That doesn't make sense...that would be like me patenting the word 'telephone'...if I ever catch someone saying 'telephone' I'm gonna sue their ass! Not to diss Achenbaugh, especially since Line is pretty much run through his camp in the summer time, but I don't believe it.

''Tim Salmon, the greatesst pasepall player thut evuh lived.''

they didnt patent the size, but they did patent the concept of having a tip the exact same as the tail, so others can have the height of the tail ,just not the same tip, no what in sayin>?

Don of the Calgary Jib Family

is it england that you can patent a COLOUR?? I remember reading that somewhere in europe, pepsi patented their special shade of blue.

Don't think just jump.

What about Carolina Blue, huh? But color is different than size...you can't create a size, it is a preexisting quantity...color, however can be created by mixing different colors...there for it would be acceptable to patent a color but not size.
