No, but I do remember when mainstream music sounded like this:

I was listing to CCR and bob dylan last night.

I love having a tape player in my car

i wish i could go back in time in the 70's when good music was on the radio ever day, cigarettes were dirt cheap, and muscle cars were on every block.

my dad took his old JBL speakers that he bought new in college:

and restored them to their original like-new condition. Then he bought 2 more, and restored those. Then he took his old turn table and restored it. Then he got out all of his old vinyl and my mom's old vinyl from college, and set-up a lounge area in our mother-in-law apartment above the garage. My Dad and my Mom sit up there and blast their old vinyl on most nights, drinking beer and dancing like they're 20 again. We went over last night and watched Monday night football with the sound muted and Neil Young and The Lost Gonzo band blasting.

I guess my point is...you can go back there, you know.

My teachers used to say I was born in the wrong decade - I'd love to have grown up when classic rock was just called rock.

was popular music ever good? or has popular music always been mindless dribble supported by the worlds uninspired sheep?

Ive been sad with the whole hardcore/experimental scene, no more blood brothers or refused, but been lisening to a lot if indie/folk like my local hommie Fences. Also a Bob Dylan record every morning on the vinyl with my coffee, perfect dayz :)
