Just looked it up. You're an idiot. The small team kept the initial findings a secret so that they could present the findings in full without other scientists jacking their hard work, picking up the research at 90% and publishing the final findings themselves.

That is literally what the team leaders and individuals said.

That is totally a normal practice.

Do you think the govt should allow pharma companies to sell a cancer cure for exorbitant prices, to offset the financial loss of treating vs curing?

Also, how much power does big tobacco still have these days? I was under the impression they had been knocked down a step or two. No?

While he does love to argue, he's 100% justified in asking for strong evidence to back up your equally strong claim. You are the one making the claim, therefore you need to provide evidence for such a claim. And profound claims require profound evidence. He's simply challenging your weak, or entirely lack of, evidence. If what you claim was actually true, then there would be something in reality you could point to to back it up.

I mean yes tobacco companies are less powerful than they were in the 80s but not medical company's have taken their place. Take the Martin Shkreli for instance raising the price of a drug that helped fight HIV all for profit...
