I don't know if this is to controversial for NS but I dont understand why people believe in super natural gods ? To me there is no evidence for it at all, so why believe?

This is not an attack on religious beliefs. I just want to understand the reasoning behind it and in the past NS has been quite good for meaningful discussion without trolls and hate.

Fair point . I tried to change the question a little I don’t know if it’s any better . I think it’s also possible to have an objective conversation that is meaningful

There's a few threads on this from the past year alone. Use Google and add "newschoolers" to the query if this site's search tool doesn't work. There's some guy from Michigan who gets real heated about the subject so he will probably comment on here soon.

Ah yes another teenage angst driven “there iz no god” thread. Almost as heated as the “new wave is gey” threads but less entertaining.

Why do you care if someone believes in god op? or any god for that matter? The only people who actually care are either A: church bois who look down on the sinful non believers as degenerates of society or B: the “logic” and “science” driven atheists who think they’re so woke for not conforming to organized religion. End of the day people should just believe what they want and leave others alone to do the same.

Ah yes the old search bar . I’m going to excuse myself on that one because it is useless .

And yea I do agree anyone has a right to believe what ever they like and I would never say any different, it’s a human right . I’m jut trying to understand why . I’m not not saying anyone is wrong or compelling anyone to tell me . Just looking for insight if anyone wants to share
