I hope I you guys didn't interpret that I think being preachy does work. What I was talking about was sharing Christianity with others, not neccessarily being prechy about it.

I agree that with Christianity, or with any belief religious or not, being preachy and self glorifying will drive people away.

I agree that arguing Christianity vs. Evolution accomplishes nothing. But I'll note, the majority of discussion (Is Christianity Offensive? thread) started as a few of us trying to clear up some misconceptions about Christianity, not trying to prove it.
