Relearning 360's

i was doing them two seasons ago and i have lost all confidence in myself and doing them. i wanna learn them off a little 15 footer. i know thats enough room as i spin really fast, what can i do to stick it because i used to land backseat and what can i do to gain confidence again

Take off with your feet shoulder-width apart, pop hard, look over your shoulder, and keep yourself from looking down. Practice makes perfect, you should get them back in a few tries.

That's a little harder to deal with, you just kind of have to go for it. If you think you're going to crash, you probably will, so just tell yourself that you're going to land it.

try some of a little dinky roller/jump first that way, if u can stick it on something like that, u can take it bigger/ make sure ur take off aint sketchy

I just started doing them the other day. I've wanted to do them for awhile and I was just like "Fuck it, who cares if I eat it" Went for it, pulled the 3 and kinda washed out but it was all good. Then I practiced them solidly for the next two days and after practicing for a little while i was floating them a little more, hitting the landing and stomping them, just takes practice.

to get over the convidence thing mang just grab your balls and do it, dont OVERTHINK everything, just go fucking send it. we all take our fucking spills, and we all fucking stomp shit, its just the sport.

just get pumped on the lift ride up, listen to some agressive music and focus on what you gotta do

Just realize that like, if it is a 15 footer, there is basically nothing you can hurt yourself bad on.

It's all in your head. You have to know you're the man and that even if you eat shit hardcore you don't care if anybody is watching. something i do to kinda stoke myself up is knock on my crotch (referring to "knock on wood")i dunno kinda weird but it's my thing.

suck it up and throw it, your most likley not gonna hurt yourself off a 15 footer, and even if you do fall a few times. thats part of progressing

just dont think about it so much, for me i ski best when im chill and realxed and just like this will be fun and not hurt. It should come natural if you could do them before.

i broke my arm last year at Alpine in the park so i had the same confidence problem earlier this season. i straitaired and rode everything switch to get my confidence back up. plus breaking your arm doesnt really hurt its just shock so i wasnt really afraid of getting hurt.

aww you get hurt bro? yeah i shattered my leg 3 seasons ago overshooting a jump. yeah so i took the next season off, and last season was my first back at it. I had to re learn everything too man. It just takes so time. What helped with the confidence was starting off small and working my way back up. idk man, just suck it up a little. idk if you can get much smaller than a 15 footer. but you should definitely be able to do a 3 over that. Do a bunch of 1's, but instead of keeping your head over the same shoulder, look over your other during the rotation. that'll help you get the confidence back. Good luck

i went in to a 30 foot natrual hip transfer at like 40 mph(its natrual and sketchy as hell and the lip is like strait up) and i didnt make a descision to actually do untill like 20 feet before the lip...u just gotta huck it if u wanna progress, now im in love with doing them over that hit

what i was getting at is just go for it and if u crash then u wont be afraid to do it cuz u already know what crashing on one is like

listen to music, that helps a lot, also anothe point some1 made...its a 15fter...nuthin can really go wrong

have friend stand at the landing, tell him if you get hurt to punch you in the face. thatll take you mind of the pain elsewhere

really, i cant see the problem!

Turn on some ski-music, it really helps me.

360 is a really simple trick, switch 180 is harder...

Just do it...

how about this... hit the 15 footer and intentionally go down... then realize it didn't hurt and bust a fucking move... or a 360

I actualy have like the exact same problem.

What I do is just dont think about it too much. Turn on some tunes to get me pumped, and then fucking charge. I scream and rage at the jump. Hit the jump, do something crazy.Woot.

dude shut the fuck up, You think Tanner went down and did a switch 9 when he first went back on the slopes? It sucks ass not being able to walk right for months. So it's easy to see why his confidence isn't back. I broke both legs. When you first get back in the park, the first thing that comes to your mind is that sled carting your ass down the hill, and those months where you couldn't do jack shit.

Just say to yourself "I'm skerd." All gangsta like too. Its goodluck. Its cause God says, "I didn't make him black, so I'll let him land."

I wasn't very good with 360's until I learned cork 3s and how to carve and that really smooths out the landing, you just have to deal with not loking good, or some bad landing before you can REALLY progress.

its just like a 180 but you throw it faster and make sure u commmit your head to look at your landing,

its stupid how on this site people make like 4000 posts and then can not do a 360, i thought people like who posted a 1000+ times must of been on the scene for a while and be fairly good, but half of them really arent it turns out, but i guess if you enjoy posting on NS more than skiing thats fair enough!

dont think about it so much before you do it.. because once you start thinking about it you start thinking about the worst possibly sinario and you phsyic yourself out

tell your friend to stand beside the jump. everytime i wanna try somthing new like comferts me and i never worry about the bail.

another way is to give your buddy 5 bucks and if you dont try it he keeps it :)
