Anyone ever ridden these skis? How do they hold up? DO they look like shit after the first day like lines do, or can i count on them to take some abuse and still last me a season or 2?

Also, any comments on how they ride or anything like that would be appriciated.

Thx -B

What kinda of core does the Scratch FS have? how is it better then a wood core? Arn't wood cores better?

ther regular scratch is stiffer, therefore in my opinion better, but i like a stiffer ski, i thought the FS was too soft for me to ski the ice at my mountain

Fear causes hesitation and hesitation causes your worst fears to come true

Scratch FS= THC core, which is far mor durable, but a bit softer

Scratch= wood core stiffer, but less durable, so it might not last the 2 seasons u want

conclution: spend the extra $$ and get the skis that will last, the FS, unless u like things that are nice a firm, and oh so stiff...

mmmm skis

the scratch (not fs) will not last for more then 1 season and still have life left. the fs will. the wood core that they use in the scratch sucks ass.

the blue capped scratch (non-fs) is a solid ski. I prefer it to the FS. it help of well to some march and summer beatings. although they were never used on metals rails the took some serious bending abuse on jumps and pipe. I never put a scratch in the cap from my poles or from crossing the skiis. they just seem to have like scratch repellent or some shit. the skiis are good, however, not stiff enuf for me or other good east coast skiers. so we ride volkl

I skied line Mike Nick 142's for a season and 3/4 and they held up fine until they snapped in half. They also had a wood core so keep that in mind. We also really don't have a huge park with massive jumps, or a pipe for that matter. So think like 30, 40 foot kickers and alot of tree skiing.

NOw, with my background, and without being asses, tell me what u think, or does it even change anything

I am extremely worried now I hear all this shit about scratches breaking and I just bought a pair. They have a good warranty dont they? Or am I screwed up if they break once?

the regular scratchs are soooooooooo soft. i flexed em effortlessly. it made me want to cry. thats why the reg ones are soo cheap. the fs are the way to go. im not even sure about those this year tho
