Regressing on spins : UPDATE

Alright guys, this is gonna be a little tale of my day letting everyone know how it went and then another bunch of questions because as you might have guessed by now, I didn't quite get perfect at all. So I was complaining that I was pussing out and going 270 or 180. Well i go up today and the park was ungroomed heavy wet So-cal pow. My first question being, could this have affected my skiing, because visibility was shitty and the snow was a little grabby? Anywho, but when i fell it never hurt except for the one mild whack on the head i took, but no worries a little Vicadin (sp?) and im on my way. Anywho, so i went up threw the first one, (fyi I am hitting a severly downhill jump with about a 3 foot lip which sends you more out than up, on about a 12 foot table top with a small landing ( if you think i should go bigger or smaller let me know.) so.. on the first one I throw it with a wide stance, try and focus on keeping my middle tight, and throw my head, I landed back seat and caught my right edge but still managed to ski away, threw the next one and same thing... so i was just thinking i needed to pop more and lean forward. Anywho then i met up with some bros and we started doing this. Then It came to the point where I was barely getting past 180 sometimes and just coming down really gnarly. From then on with about 20 more tries I never landed one, landed a few backseat but not a ton.. a lot were just wipe outs. But I noticed, one thing, i am having trouble looking over my shoulder, I don't khow if this is because of my goggles or because it is easier for me to look over my right shoulder than left, but I am still throwing left or what. But i found a lot of times i was landing short, and the times when everything wasn't a complete blur for me, I was seeing my skis and not my landing. Also my bro's said that I was almost corking out my 3's it looked like. Anything i should try, maybe spinning to the right? Or something because i am back up there tomorrow at 8, to go try this shit again and im not coming home till i can stomp em, so any thoughts on what i am doing wrong, please let me know. I would be really appreciative.

damn... a few things didn't make sense, first off on the goggle question I have Oakley Wisdom goggles, and secondly the reason i ask about which way i should spin is, that I look a lot easier over my right when riding switch and stuff, should i be throwing to the right?

I'm kinda having the same problem myself (so not much help but...)

I can land 3's sketchy of small little jumps with little speed but anything with some air I don't get around cuz I puss or I'm landing back seat (pissin me off). I'm not sure if it's cuz maybe when I turn my head I'm glancing down ??

Any help PLS!

practice practice practice, and no its not your oakley wisdom's fault its your fault. And no you were corking out your 3's.

Didn't really answer my question.. was just wondering if they were like notorious for having bad vision, i didn't think they did at all, but what the fuck do i know. Still sorta looking for maybe some more concrete hints for tomorrow morning after i go cut up the heavy so cal pow.

Keep that head level while you are spinning, and pop later. As far as I know, the ideal pop occurs right when your toe binding bit heads over the lip. It's hard to judge when you are looking the otherway on take off, that comes with practice.

If you don't know where to look to keep your head level, go stand by the lip, get as level as possible, and check out your surroundings. What you see standing there should be what you see when you are popping.

As for barely getting past 180 later on, you are just getting tired. Take a break or quit for the day before you really fuck up :)
