The regional forums script is ALMOST ready to be uploaded! But first I need your help.

I need you to list all the regions that we need. It is broken down into three sections. Each section is a bit more detailed than the last. For example, there will be Canada, then Ontario, then Ottawa. The way it works is if someone posts something in the Ottawa one, you can view it in the Canada, Ontario, and Ottawa levels. But if you post at the Canada level, then it will not be viewable from the Ottawa level. That way, it doesn't matter how detailed we make it, because it can still be used on a broader scope.

So here are the regions that I came up with off the top of my head. My geography skills aren't exactly top notch:

i dont think that you should seperate australia into sydney and stuff

there just arent enough of us, so we would get bored and not check them

New England is like... the North East of the US... i think its... Connecticut, Maine, Massachsetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. you might need to double check that though.

I'm pretty sure that New England is just New Hamphshire, Massachussets(sp?) and Maine. I'm just a dumb little Canadian boy though, so what do I know.

Here's what I'd suggest for the U.S., to the best of my knowledge:

(no subtopics)

>Pacific Northwest

- Washington

- Oregon

- Idaho

>West/Central

- California

- Colorado

- Montana/Wyoming

>Midwest

- Minnesota/Wisconsin/Iowa (maybe Wisconsin in it's own subtopic?)

- Indiana/Michigan/Ohio

>Northeast

- New England

- New York/Pennsylvania/New Jersey

And I think we should have some kind of 'everything else' forum for the kids from North Dakota or Arizona or, God bless them, Mississippi.

My dubious suggestion for Europe:

>Scandinavia

- Norway

- Finland

- Sweden

>Western Europe

- France

- Austria/Switzerland

>Eastern Europe- no subcategories

Oops! Forgot Utah. That should go under the West/Central heading, as - Colorado/Utah.

I think this pretty well equally divides up US skiing regions, although I don't know too much about Cali or about New England. I went by state because I thought it would be easier that way.

new england = (from east to west)... Maine, NH, Mass, rhode isl., connect, vermont.

I would say for the midwest like

-Michigan

-Minnesota

-Wisconsin

they should all get there own cause they are big and then

Illinois, Indiana, Ohio

together cause they are really small for skiing.

And the dakotas have to go somewhere, maybe they should also get there own.

hey Harvey if i were you i would keep europe as just one catagory. i.e. no subdivisions in terms of countrys since the percentage of people on this site coming from europe is fairly small.

in kamikazee's scandinavia section, he forgot that denmark is part of scandinavia, can't forget denmark. And a BC interior and alberta rockies section would be good too.
