Regional food fads

baby kale is good. i buy a blend of baby red chard baby kale and spinach, and its really good for making wilted greens. but the regular kale is just way too fibrous unless you were to remove the big ribs and cook it slowly in something like a stew to break it down.

I've actually worked for Arizona Iced Tea for the past two summers. They based out of Brooklyn/Woodbury, NY and i'm almost positive that everything happens within the United States

in northern idaho kids LOVE this shit.

super small locally owned hamburger place, and it's old as shit, and they don't accept credit cards. you can't get mustard, or fries, or tomatoes, or anything on your burger. all you get is pickles, AMERICAN cheese, and onions.... I'm not complaining though, the burgers are dericious.

well i wasn't seeing things, the cans said canada. and i checked the website, they're based out of several different countries. look yourself

listen i don't have time for your'e geography mumbo jumbo. Wisconsin is in the midwest like texas, and michagan is in the great lakes. dont think you can fuck with me.

you're a fucking retard, I gave two examples of REGIONAL FOOD FADS, cronuts and ramps, and so far nobody else in this thread has been able to deliver another one. nothing in this thread is a fad, or regional. putting ketchup on food? a fad?! regional?! you're fucking kidding me.

Kale is a fad, but not regional.

skyline chili is regional, but not a fad.

arizona iced tea, an international company that's been around for over 20 years, neither regional nor a fad.

bring it bitch. deliver one regional food fad and I'll concede, but you can't.

arizona tea is the faddiest fucking tea there is. every pre teen with a dream of being tumblr famous drinks it.

i only used ketchup as an example because it's easy to understand. Some places like certain sauces more than others.

but yea, people are just naming regional foods. whatever, i still like this thread.

I don't live there but central CT- pretty much the greater Meriden area- is the only place I've ever seen a steamed cheeseburger. The burger itself is pretty good, but this one place steams Cabot Extra Sharp cheddar to put on the burgers/breakfast sandwiches/omelettes... And THAT my friends is the most magical substance known to man.

Burritos seems to have have once been a fad in Southern Ontario, but turned into a normal stable. Before Burrito Boyz and Fat bastard burritos there really wasn't a place to get burritos outside of taco bell. Now it seems like there is burrito places everywhere now.

I'm stoked to come home, nowhere in BC makes a burrito worth a damn compared to an Ontario burrito.

yea bc they dont exist even the tryhard guy whos getting all upset wasn't able to name anything that fit the criteria he made up himself

cronuts=nationalramps= never heard of them before bc Im not a woman but apparently theyve been popular for 100 years

so yea you posted none

Oh, and I didn't make up any criteria, the thread title did. Regional. Food. Fads.Maybe take a break from studying date rape at KU and learn how multiple words work together to bring meaning to something.

Cronuts, only available at one fucking bakery in new york until later this summer, caused a huge fucking deal because of how faddy they were, and they then became a national trend when other bakeries started ripping the concept, and I mentioned how they aren't regional any more. Ramps, have been around forever, but especially over the last few years have blown the fuck up all over New York and the surrounding area, and even have festivals devoted to them.

he lost bc hes trying to make it personal and ignoring the fact that neither of the things are both regional and a fad, hes wrong so hes mad

I give you the win, though you didn't come up with any current regional food trends. frankly, regional food trends can't exist for long in this era, like the food trucks you mentioned, or the cronuts I brought up. shit just spreads so fast so quickly that nothing stays local long.
