check out king jammy, on myspace or google, he produce a lot of artist in the 80's, its a good place to start cause youl get a whole bunch of artist names,,,,,,,,,,,,sly&robbie are real heavy to, they have been resposible for some major reggae tunes. also definnatly check out yellowman,,,specifically the album just cool, (give me your email an ill send it to you, at least a couple of songs) after bob marley he was the most succesfull reggae(dancehall) artist in jamaica. this is a good site for discovering ill stuff, http://bigupradio.com/ click on the playlist option for either of the channels, roots station or dancehall station.....and it list what they have playing at the current moment.....reggae is a beautifull music....enjoy.

lol sorry for the triple postage but Yahadanai is dope as fuck too. I'm totally blanking out on the name of the dude who posted it but his RL name is Duncan I remember that from his signature.

I'm done...maybe I'll post a threat later today with d/l links and shit all if I can find them.

check out pandora.com

best way to discover a new genre/music (if you have a constant internet connection)

- create new station

- type in "bob marley radio"

- give thumbs up to songs you like

- give thumbs down to songs you don't like

- and it will keep choosing new songs that you "should" enjoy.

it should be self-explanatory, but let me know if not.

My personal favorites:

Bob Marley (of course)

Eek A Mouse

Burning Spear

Black Uhuru

Half Pint

Pepper

Elephant Man

Peter Tosh

my current favorite reggae song is "sunshine reggae" by jimmy cliff
