Rednecks

Rednecks are cool on occasion. They know how to have a lot of fun with limited resources and unlimited alcohol. That said, most of the self-proclaimed rednecks that I've known are ignorant dipshits.
 
I come from a long line of rednecks. We are a proud, but simple people who enjoy all the same things as normal people like brews, buds, babes and diesel engines.
 
Rednecks can be awesome. Fake rednecks are ignorant, obnoxious, and the worst breed of people.

I don't know about you guys but the "rednecks" at my school would make statuses once a week calling out other people about how they were the bigger redneck like it was a competition to be the biggest hick. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Real rednecks usually have more street smarts than anyone. If the world went into pure chaos and it was everyone for themselves, I would find me a redneck. They'd be your best bet on making it out alive.
 
I use the term "redneck" to describe an ultra right wing, intolerant type of person. Like "that fellow has some redneck ideas."

Hillbillies and hicks on the other hand are a treat

Really? I always thought of it the other way around... Rednecks as hard working farmers and country people and Hicks as the racist deep woods crowd

and yes, when the apocalypse comes, I'll want a true redneck handy. not some city boy that thinks he's a hick....i'm talking true redneck.

and yeah people think that calling someone a redneck is a derogatory term? It basically means their neck is sunburnt from working/being outside

i remember him talking about it on one of his older videos, its just some weird growth that isn't harmless at all so he's not gonna get rid of it... puglife1 is the best youtube channel ever, it's straight dickered!

that first video runnin low on gasses was fucking amazing. I agree with what some members have said though, the real rednecks are genuine usually pretty damn smart people but the wanna be's are no bueno, living in idaho I definitely see both regularly hahah
 
A bunch of my cousins are legit rednecks and they are way fun to be around.

However, self proclaimed rednecks or city hicks are just the worst. I have to pick up so many chew cans and spit cups at work, I hope their jaws rot off.

Most of them are nice hard working people. But some take it way to far. Here in Minnesota we get these kind of wannabe Alabama redneck's people, but they do it all wrong. They do the stupidest non functional things they can think of to their trucks. For example they will lift them which is fine but then to exaggerate it they will put these tinny wheels on them and in severe cases Mexican looking rims. They also wear their hats sideways and spit chew out the window while smoking a cigarette. I try to avoid these people when at all possible because they are normally complete assholes.
 
In my Anthropology class we had to turn Bozeman into a tourist destination. One group made it a "Redneck Paradise" and highlighted cheap places to buy beer, dump bars, and swing dancing and things like that. It was actually pretty cool.

That being said, Rednecks are typically hard working, down to earth folks. I've never had any problems with them.

I know they are white trash but they identify themselves as "Rednecks". And yeah I was just trying to add to the picture with the chew thing.
