ok so, i'm going out to a friend's cabin over new years, and redlodge is pretty close so we figured we'd go skiing a few days out there. how is it? anyone know what the snow is like right now and stuff?

i checked the website, but it doesnt look like its been updated in a month so i'm not sure if its up to date.

i live a couple of hours away from Red Lodge and so far Montana doesnt have a whole lot of snow. All i have heard is that red lodge doesnt have hardly any snow as most of the other ski resorts in the state but that was at least a week and a half ago and we have had some little storms that should have helped. there should be a decent amount when you get here cuz we will eventually get the snow. Ive never skied there but the kids i talk to say its pretty good and that they park is pretty sweet. (at least for montana)

Out of park: Recently got 4-6 inches of new snow. Has around 12-30 inches of base manly due to snow making. Around 14 runs are open.

Park: Yesterday it looked like this. At the top there was three rails in the middle of the run including a slightly down square tube rail, 10x10x10 down flat down street style, and two seperate double barrel rails put together as a flat down. Next there may be a jump up now but at the time there was only enough snow to have a little butter box with a miny jump at the end. Then one roller going across the run with a A-frame and two box rails positioned as a flat down. Then a slightly bent flat 20ft round rail that is slightly down hill. Planning on getting two jumps, each with a 20 and 40ft hit.

Montana doesn't have jack for snow and it is making me mad! I can't remeber the last time there has been such a low snowpack. It is 40 degrees outside right now. This weather SUCKS. I am going to Utah and Colorado in five days to find more snow.

whoa. what the fuck that is soo sick. big mtn is so lame fuck. we dont have shit compared to you and it was supposed to be sick this year

^i should rephrase to "big mtn park crew" is gay. the rest of big mtn is fuckin sick and we have already had alot of nice snow with some pow.

No there is a 25foot jump that kicks you way up and is smooth. Kids were throwing 7s easily. Also have a log bonk and a new roller with a trapazoid and a step up to rail (the jump is about 2 feet below the rail) then a large green tube on the ground. Rail jam Saturday the 13th
