This Sunday February 14th at Brandywine - Red Bull Butter Cup is a contest series that started on the East Coast but now has expanded throughout the US in its second year. It's about how much style snowboarders can spread onto the custom-made features also known as "butter pads." Snowboarders will jib, bonk, tap and slide across the pads, making sure to lay it on with a lot of smooth buttering. Regional riders will battle it out in a jam format event, carving and spreading the snow like butter for cash and prizes. Overall style and creativity will help the cream rise to the top, so be ready to spread it on in this purely pasteurized competition!

Riders must have valid lift ticket.Snowboard only, entry $10. We're the only Buttercup stop on the 2010 series in Ohio!

Registration to begin at 10am-noon. Comp to begin at 1pm at Brandywine. All participants must complete liability release, have valid parental signature if under 18. Helmets required.

i think what they were getting at was Red Bull puts on the event and organizes the structure (i.e. snowboard only) if it were up to BMBW of course skiers would be allowed to compete
 
I work at chestnut in Galena, Il. Buttercup stop is tomorrow. I feel it is pretty messed up that redbull has people who don't even ride tell you how to set up park features. WTF? Anyways worked my ass off setting it up so that i cant ride it?why snowboarder only? We all ride the same features in the park and we all ride together as friends? Non skier and snowboard people need to pull their head out of the 90's get over the minor differences between the two. I thought red bull was all about progression?
