Red Bull Playgrounds

Hey guys and girls,

Dropping you all a line because we here at Newschoolers want your help with something that'll be fun for everyone...

Our

friends at Red Bull have launched a brand new app called Red Bull

Playgrounds, which is going to be a one-stop guide to spots where you

can participate in various action sports (skiing/snowboarding,

skateboarding, mountain biking, surfing, etc).

We at

Newschoolers have been put in charge of populating the app with ski

spots, and so far have included every single ski resort in Canada, along

with numerous urban spots in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, and some

backcountry zones in BC.

Now that we've laid the foundation, we

want your help making it even more kick ass, so skiers everywhere will

know the best places to shred! We want to know where your favorite runs

and terrain parks are at your home resort, any urban and/or backcountry spots you'd be down

to share, or anything else ski-related you can think of.

The

app is pretty simple to use (you just have to pinpoint locations via

Google Maps and add a description of the spot), so check it out for

yourself at www.redbullplaygrounds.com, or download it on your iPhone or Android to start adding your own spots.

If anyone has any questions about doing so, please feel free to shoot me a PM on here, or post them up in this thread.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Oh Hey, here's my favorite pow stash. Please, gaper with red bulll app, go side slide it on your firefly sport check board so that red bull can sell even more canned cancer and get more richerer.

But at the same time, I'd be stoked to hit up a resort I've never been to and easily find the sick zones with this app.

Although, sometimes it's nice meeting the local shredders and then get them to show you. Then you get to make some new buds and keep the stashes relatively gaper free.

I guess for urban spots and cool tranny finder spots or whatever, this app is good. Pow stashes, well, they're called stashes for a reason. I have mixed feelings.

Also, the mountain biking sucks for this app. Strava's model is much better.

But Jeff, no disrespect to you and NS promoting this app. Shit's business and it's cool that redbull is creating something like this. There's just some kinks to work out first. For instance, maybe you can unlock the best, more secret zones by uploading more of your own spots first to get app Karma or whatever it would be called. Or maybe the app already has this and I'm just ignorant.

Mowgli.ca also has lots of sick zones to check out too! Sans corporate monolith oversight.
