Recreational CO Nugs Thread

It is definitely more expensive. Without having a good hookup, $35 an 1/8 is pretty standard. At the shops, for rec, you're paying around $50 for the very best.

There is a one year excise tax of 10-15% that expires Jan 1 2015 that will bring prices down, but for now, it is definitely more expensive. Still cheaper or the same price as illicit weed in other parts of the country, though. Just another option for everyone, or even a backup. Not to mention, they have all kinds of edibles, wax, shatter, etc.

All together we spent like $500 (3 trips or so) in buying recreational nug in Co from a shop, for $200 I was able to pick up more from a dealer in 1 go.

Legalization is great but unless those prices stabilize I would still pick up from locals

is it all overpriced? or can you still get $35 top shelf 8ths with scrip?I guess with the demand they might have upped the price on prescriptions since the demand pushed it up too?

I know of good stuff you can get in Breck for $25/8th on the BM

Much more limited then medicinal patients can get.

7grams is the limit for out of staters. (overall example- 5 grams nug, 1 gram oil, 1 serving edibles)

Less strains, less edibles, less everything, more expensive

Alpenglow Botanicals in Breck has an excellent selection, imo. I've never been a medical card holder, so I can't really speak to differences in selection (though I do know med patients pay less).

Check their facebook, they have all current strains and products.

They have about a dozen different strains, split almost in half between indica and sativa (maybe a couple hybrids), 7-8 different kinds of concentrates (both in terms of indicas and sativas, but also in terms of texture, e.g. "wax" and "shatter"), and 3 different kinds of edible candies (sold out for almost the whole month) and then the prepackaged thc infused beverages and chocolate bars. They also sell the 710 mini vape pens that I personally think hit about as good as any pen I've ever hit.

From what I've read, heard, and seen, I'd say Alpenglow is doing it right. Nice store, good helpful and knowledgeable staff, and excellent products.

well obviously, not for that reason though actually. Because their place of living is now associated with recreational weed and its probably annoying, imagine encountering people like the guy who posted this thread walking down the street on your way to work

its like all tourists are of the social equivalent of someone in america whos just turned 21

This; if you have to deal with authorities, they can't tell whether you bought a $50 eighth from a shop or a $30 eighth from a dealer

I think it would be only people who are:

>Highly law-abiding (in which case you aren't likely to be a pot smoker anyway)

>New to the area or visiting from out of state, so they aren't connected to any dealers

>Too desperate to wait an hour for a dealer

Meh, it doesn't really bother me. Sure when I took my Utah trip earlier this month everybody asked me about it when I told them I was from CO but that's about it.

jeez you guys in CO need to stop complaining for paying like 40 for an eigth. in new england 40 is an absolute steal and they usually go for 60.

You live in NE...they live in CO...therefore they can complain as unfortunately for you, you live on the east coast and pay way too much for weed. Even so, they are just displaying how overpriced it is...because for the area, it is. Derp.

Living in CT near towns with the fucking richest kids youll ever meet cranks up price like none of you would believe

youre right, thinking about it now idk why i thought it was over the top. im sure there's the select individuals who are but in life youll find those guys everywhere

anyone who buys legit medicinal cannabis from a top tier dispensary? i pay 50 an 1/8th for the best shit humboldt counties got to offer. definitely worth it.

Its pricey, but hey I don't care so long as it's legal. I got a quad for slightly over 100 bucks, which my friends who smoke a lot more back in the midwest said at least where we live it's typically more expensive for much lower quality stuff here. I do hope to see a growing trend of legalization throughout the states though, as I far prefer smoking to drinking. Helps me get the relaxed attitude without becoming a dumb ass, unlike alcohol.

I already spend 50 an eighth. It would be nice to have an edible selection and a HASH section and be able to choose between Sativa and indicia.

Yea... bout that Its way easier to go through the grower and buy whole untrimmed plants 2 plants costs me $200 and i get around 2-3 oz's of yield. Although since I don't smoke much I just trade it for alcohol and free lift rides. Excellent profit margin.

However tell all of your headie friends that Colorado SUCKS and it is not worth coming out here. like at all. unless its to buy weed... then leave. Not every one can work in the marijuana industry. unless you're a NS'er.Shit guys never drink an oz of green dragon. This was a bad bad bad idea.

Hybrids are were its at. And the sodas they are great, if you do come out buy something called a Quad Dose Cheeba Chew and prepare to enter a whole new realm

i just looked it up and it says there is a deca dose one, but it's for high tolerance patients only. so it's not recreationally available?

I was just at Alpenglow a few days ago. Nice place, nice people, they don't have concentrate. I went to a dispensary in Idaho Springs, that had 1/8's for $90 bucks (including tax), that is ridiculous.

The best selection and prices I have seen have come from The Green Solution in Northglenn. They had the best wax and the best prices I have seen.

The whole Medical/recreational shit is really dumb. There shouldn't be anymore more medical, it should just all be recreational. Use it for whatever you want to.

Disregarding the validity of a complaint, I'm fairly certain that anybody can complain whenever the fuck they want and for any reason.

Yeah it may cost more but I think a benefit is that you can get exactly the strain you want, when with dealers, it's less certain

"Legitimate" is the key word. I am wiling to bet 90% of the people that have their card are doing so just to smoke weed. It is horribly abused, which is why is just should all be the same for everyone.

I agree medical is a joke but I do think that there needs to be a distinction between medical and recreational. Personally I think "medical marijuana" shouldn't exist in the form it does. I think things like marinol (i think thats what its called) where it is a pill that has cbd and thc in it should be the future of medical. It should be the same as any other medicine not this joke of a system where a doctor tells you that smoking some stupid strain name like ak47 or white widow or green crack out of a bong.... that doesnt seem like medicine even though i am a strong believer that medical marijuana is the most effective treatement for some people. We need to make it like any other medicine rather than having it on its own weird level of kindof medicine kindof legal but abused

part of that would also be getting it from a pharmacy instead of dispensary. If we want it to be accepted as medicine we need to make it into a real medicine used within the same systems as any other medicine

No. With the pills themselves running through pharma and relying on a specific prescription, the price will skyrocket for actual medical users.

Imagine if people who needed painkillers could get them legally from some vendor rather than a pharmacy. This is essentially what you're saying needs to happen for mj. There will always be recreational marijuana and it will never be a controlled substance. Your idea isn't bringing marijuana into the folds of mainstream medicine; it's just stupid and not thought out at all
