i had surgery on both of my feet about a month and a half ago and now that i can finally start working out again i was wondering if anyone has any good tips/workouts to get back into shape for skiing....?

workout for your feet ? rotate them in circles both left and right. foward and back and stretch them out.

if you're talking about working out in a gym, do squats

squats, and anything leg oriented or core oriented. you dont really use upper body for skiing

i need any kinds of workouts... i just need things that arent going to be too extremely hard on my feet cause they arent 100% better yet...

bosu balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

m

do squats on them, lunges with your front foot on it, balance on one foot, both feet, do any standing upper body exercise on it, all of it will help strengthen your ankles

Go to PT and asked someone who went to School for many many years about rehabilitation what good exercises would be.

Don't trust the future of your feet and health to a website.

biking

it's very low impact on your feet, so you are less likely to tweak anything weak from surgery while you can still work out your knees and legs.

haha do not ask kids on a website for this kind of information, that is a seriously bad idea, go to physiotherapy it is a seriously important part of recovery

even us "kids" know that you should hit the pool. low impact good for everything. (unless you can't swim and sink to the bottom like a rock)

Great answer. They'll help to strengthen all of the little muscles in your feet and help with your balance too. Both of which will help your recovery and skiing. Might want to wait until you've recovered a little more though before you try them.

definitely. slackline, road biking and lifting once in a while is great for staying in ski shape. however slacking can be hard on your feet at times, so i'd wait a while on that and bike, swim and lift.
