So I got to wondering: What are the records for rails and jumps? Does anyone know the recordbreaker for any of these catergories below?

-Longest Jump (with a trick so ski jumping is eliminated)

-Highest Jump (Kicker, QP, halfpipe)

-Highest Cliff ever jumped (and skiied out of, no parachutes allowed)

-Longest railslide

-Most kinks completed in a railslide

-Largest Step Up (feet in height from takeoff to landing)

So if anyone knows any of these (and perferably can back them up using video footage, either on a website or in a movie somewhere) and the riders who hold the records, post it here.

i jumped a 70ft-ish cliff with a safety grab, but thats not a record, but its my record

90ft-ish backcoutry kicker last year, eventually did a 720 off it

Doesn't Glen Plake hold the record for the biggest freefall off of a cliff? I remember hearing about someone else trying to beat his record and meeting death.

the biggest cliff i've heard of is 130 or 140 i think i could be wrong though.... i think i read it in a mag though

longest rail ive heard is 100ft at copper. highest jump is like 146ft. i don't know who, where, or when. i think that candide's corked 5 tail over the 100 ft hip in happy days was hude. so was CR's bio9 few years back. it was over 100. but im going to kill the rail record this year. it's actually a cement wall that's GOT to be like 200 ft.

 
The largest cliff jump was 228 ft....!The person who did it was 3 inches shorter after....Because his spine contracted...It grew back eventually that day...but still..man that is high

 
Wouldnt this be one of the higher airs? I dont know but it felt high.

highest air is either 37 or 47' i forget. out of a QP by terje hakenson (sp?), not sure about for a skier

the biggest cliff huck is 220 feet...look at the Jamie Pierre 235ft attempt thread. Mark Abma does a rodeo 7 in the tahoe backcountry that is at least 140ft long (in RFA)

there was an amateur skier that jumped off a 200ft cliff, it was on real TV.

fucking 666 foot rail, i give that guy mad props cause long rails are so hard, never tried one on roller blades but skis anything over like 30 feet your mind gets the best of you...

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
In i think November's Powder issue they had an interview with Jamie Pierre from Alta, UT. He's done a 175-fter in the wasatch, and it also mentioned somethign about a swiss guy landing a 225-fter. Theres been a few over 300 attempts and they've all died.
