Recommended stabilizers

Picking up the new rig (gh4) in about a week or so, wanting to know what sort of stabilizer to go with other than a glidecam, what camera stabilizers do you guys recommend?
 
steadicam merlin (way easier to carry around a move around with than the glide cam (better ergonomically, but way worse in the wind), came 7000, movi, dji ronin.

The possibilities are endless if the budget is also endless.

Not really a stabilizer, but a shoulder mount with a rail system is a must if you ever want to do narrative films instead of just ski edits. From there you can get things such as a follow focus and matte box/filters when you find that you need them.
 
If you can shell out the cash to afford a GH4, why not just get a Glidecam and not have to deal with cheap copycat rigs?

It's way cheaper but not better.

That said I've never agreed with FreeFly's pricing scheme.
 
anybody use glide gear dna series? from the looks of them and a little but on youtube it seems they are virtually the same quality as glidecams for a slightly smaller price tag.

Could you explain why you think it's is not better. I have used bith gimbals with a number if different camera setup and I think the ronin performs the same if not better

I've heard they are on par with each other, and you get a hard case with the DNA's

A friend of mine just got one, despite already having the M10. Now that the initial honeymoon phase is over he did have some issues with, quite a few software glitches but then again his launch day M10 wasn't free of issues either but they had much better support according to him. For everything else there were tiny negligible difference's between the two, any big difference's had yet to be discovered apart from one, which I noticed right away when I was asked to hold them both: the Ronin is almost three times heavier and that was the one thing that still made him grab his M10 more often then the Ronin.

Then again the M10 is priced far too high since the introduction of the Ronin, and that will matter to most.
