Recommended Resorts for Work in NZ

Hey All!

A friend and I have been running through the process of signing for Holiday Visas for NZ in hopes of working at a resort for the upcoming season (2014). Generally, I am looking for insight into resorts that are more welcoming for work such as pay, employee housing, etc.

I have been looking at Mt. Ruapehu but this is mostly because I have found the most information from them thus far.

I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks so much,

CJ

I have worked at Cardrona for 4 seasons. I like working there way better then in the US. No employee housing but its easy to find a room in Wanaka.

Depends on what side your going to working as well on Ruapehu. Wouldn't really worry if it was your first time coming over to NZ, depending on what you make of it. Coronet is getting lights installed for night park riding which will be mint.

I dont really care much for night life, but i just got offered a job at Ruapehu, is there any other reason it should be avoided?

I'm headed there as well. I'm honestly the least worried about the nightlife. I like to work hard ride hard and pass out early unless there's something to do. At least when it's winter.

I'm probably going to rock out the staff housing.
