Hi guys,

So I've always worn cheaper jeans and have to cycle through them every 4 months... I'm pretty rough on my jeans due to my line of work.

But no I would like to invest in a 2 or 3 pairs of nice, sturdy, and well built denim jeans.

any of you have recommendations on good denim jeans? I've been searching around, but i figured some of you might have some input.

I tend to wear skinnier jeans such as this:

These are THVM Jeans

I wear Levi's and Carhartts.

This. Both are well constructed and try to use ethical sources for labor. Some Carharts are also made in the USA which is another bonus. I've found the best deals at the local Wilco farms stores but you can get this shit all over.

just because you're too fat to wear slim-fit jeans, doesn't mean you should hate on them.

There's only one part of me that's fat, and your mother happens to like that part of me one heck of a lot.

I'm so glad I can always count on some quality answers from NS.

I own both Lucky brand and carhartt. I think both are super comfy. I like that carhartt makes jeans with the flannel inside that keeps me real warm in the winter.

Rogue Territory jeans are great. Lot's of options for denim too. Most important is obviously fit though. Just compare some of the sizes charts to your best fitting pair. There are a lot of really good companies out there and a lot of the denim comes from the same places.

My favorite is the Nihon Menpu denim, it has a very distinct look

I also own a pair that uses cone mills denim which are pretty nice too.

Levis. They make super good jeans and khakis and they have fits like you like. /thread

This....get 510s for a pretty skinny fit, and 511s for a slim fit. I absolutely love levis

Check out marks work warehouse for a pair to wear during your work, I've they have really good replacement policies, like bring them back several months later and get a new pair, not sure if that applies kt their jeans though

And Levi's for casual not at work jeans

More expensive the shit more likely you fuck it up my new Gucci jumps got fucked up by a key in my pocket puncturing the pants the second time I wore them. Still look good but a rip is a rip and sucks.

You wanna look good get some cowboy boots to go with those jeans and make sure the jeans are tight as fuck the buttom shouldn't be easy to fix.

funny you post this, i just found out about this company today. I think i may be buying some in the near future.

I don't know what it is about them but there's something so satisfying about buying a pair of jeans that crease and fade because of your life and not just a piece of denim thats been stonewashed with hundreds of others, not to mention the high quality stitching and durability, these jeans will last you a very long time if you treat em right!

Definitely recommend

Enjoy your crotch blowing out.

i've been wearing tight jeans for quite a while now, and never have the crotch blow out.. they usually end up getting holes in the knees and back pockets and such.. or just suuuuuper faded to the point of looking to terrible for work..

The Nudie crotch blow-out is of course a bit of a meme but there's some definite truth in that. Not to badmouth or anything, the denim is decent, stitching is good for such a high-volume brand even some chain stitching, hardware is also quite nice, backpocketdesign is uggo, best part is the fit really, i have several Nudie's and the fit for me is quite well done. They are just not very strong, not delicate by any means, but ride a bike too often *bam* there go your knees, one tornado kick and *bam* your balls are on display.

wtf are you doing to wreck a pair of jeans in 4 months? there's no way cheap Walmart jeans will only last that long unless it's the only pair you wear and you're spilling acid on them and rolling in the mud. in which case no jeans will be safe.

Well now I'm curious because I work in a brewery where I am literally spilling strong acids and strong bases on my pants every day and my levis still hold up just fine.

My 3Sixteens have done pretty well over the past year and developed some nice fades. I'm waiting on a pair of black Japan Blues to add to the wardrobe next.

I suck at skateboarding and eat a ton of shit. Jeans are toast after 7 days of skating park or skating street or eating shit trying to learn new slides on the longboard.

Thanks for the info. its much appreciated. Definitely a plus coming from someone who owns their jeans.

I work in a tricky industry. live event staging, when i'm doing concert gigs, there is basically no standard to hold to. But I work corporate and convention shows quite often, and there are very high standards of what you can wear.

Up until now, I've been wearing cheap black jeans that fade and fade to weird distortions of their dye. The staging industry is rough on your clothes, you never know if you'll be climbing truss, crawling under a stage, or maybe none of that. So wearing those cheap jeans, they rip, tear, wear out, discolor and just look bad. and when I work a high end corporate show, I need something that looks good, but yet still durable and sturdy.

So i made this thread to see what quality denim jean companies are out there, because i'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to that.

If you want lasting quality get the N&F 32 oz ones.

Denim so heavy it can stand on it's own.

Walking in this is pure agony and an actual workout just to move around.
