Recommend me apps (macbook)

Just got a 13 inch pro, and i've been a PC all my life, so I'm a little lost.
Can you guys recommend the best apps for:
Extracting files from .rar archives?
Msn client, or is msn for macs the best?
Theming (skins, if i get ored of this look)
Rss reader
Anything else you want to add....

yeah for expanding rar files just go to download.cnet.com and search rar

the first one will work well

just google microsoft messenger mac

and you'll be able to find it

i don't use the any of the other things you asked about but i've had a macbook for quite a while now

To extract .rar files I highly reccomend UnrarX.
MSN client go with Adium. You can have msn along with aim, gtalk etc.
I also reccomend quicksilver. You set up a hotkey and very quickly open programs, documents etc. I use it all the time.
