Recommend Me a Powder Ski

I was thinking of buying powder skis from this year on sale for cheap and want a recommendation. I'm looking for something that's between 110 and 125 in width and is very poppy, playful, can handle high speeds, and does well everywhere but especially in the trees. I'm 5'8", weigh 145, and will be skiing on these mainly at Big Sky and other Montana ski areas. I would also not like to go over $500 while buying these skis on sale.

Well I had no problem with my opus this year. Pretty good everywhere, the only place that I wasn't confident was in small couloir or chute and I had to straight line them.

Opus is out of my price range :(

I have it narrowed down to the YLE, Rocker 2 122, Gunsmoke, Night Train, and Bent Chetler. Any thoughts or recommendations of those five skis would help a lot. Thanks.

I would stay away from Salomon. Depending on how rough you are on your equipment you may also break moments as well.

Umm, that's suck but It's not the end of the world.

So I never tried the YLE, I know that the are symmetrical, suppose to be on the stiffer side too. Willey rip on them, almost bought a pair but had a better deal on the opus.

As for the 122, well they are some really good ski, I'm buying them next season for sure. The rocker is not to abrupt, they are stiff enough for going fast, I feel more confident on them then the Opus, sure they are not as stiff as the 115 but they are plenty stiff for small inbound's chute. I love them when I tried them, they float well, they bounce on pillow and they are quick in the tree's.

I never tried the gunsmoke and the NT, never had the chance to.

I would buy the 122, but that's me, I really love them and don't be scared of the durability, they won't explode. My 2012's are still going strong. Sure you might have a edge crack or something, but that's normal. My opus have 2 edge crack and a compression.
