Recommend me a car, NS

do you really want a sports car? I know I don't have the self control to have one or the money to afford one even if its a nissan 300z. Also a sports car ain't going to get you skiing reliably if your going on a pow day.

By the self control factor I was mentioning I have gotten 3 speeding tickets with a 06 impreza 2.5i (all stock) and that's driving a fucking econobox.

I would personally find a 2.2 legacy wagon. I had one and I want it back even though I now own the impreza that I mentioned. I sold it after it hit 350K. Things you look for in a legacy:

code 420 (im not BSin you) its a O2 sensor code that never goes away even if you put in a new O2 sensor. For inspection time just do the whole negative terminal trick and clear the codes.

Front spring recall. Salt belt states kill the front springs. Slap some springs in when needed

Oil. The 2.2 doesn't hold much oil. Keep a eye out on your dipstick every other time you get gas.

Those were the only problems I had with my legacy and it started up every time from the base of Mount Washington without a problem.

yeah this exactly. dont be afraid of a 2.5 if the owner has records for the headgaskets already serviced. If that job was taken care of the car is gonna be pretty much perfect. Dont be hasty, wait for the right car from a seller you think you can trust with records of service. Buying a piece of shit will suck

My buddies got a red 1986 4 runner with a 4 inch lift and a 2 inch body lift w/ 33s. so sick i think he spent about 4500 bucks on it somehow

get a chevy astro 4WD van. then you can haul all you and your buddies shit to the mountain!!

my friend has an astro, and it is a great snow/ utility car.

getting a rear wheel drive riceburner or a lifted truck is overrated. just get a van, and put 2 huge subwoofers in it.

Incorrect. Nothing near close to as expensive as euro cars. All Japanese imports are going to be cheaper to fix than euros.

Plus the work is way easier to do yourself!

AE86

I think all of the GT-S models were 5speeds... and I don't think you'll find many over 5 grand that aren't basically race cars.

Sorry but I've gotta bash, an AE86 is a fucking stupid choice for this budget. They're old enough that most would require a full restoration, and any well-maintained ones you may find have been converted into track cars for drifting. It's an awesome idea in theory, but an utterly pointless (and all too trendy) suggestion.
