Recommend an all-mountain ski

I am looking for a good all-mountain ski and am considering twin tips because of the versatility. I like to ski in powder and crud but still want something that will be able to handle hardpack and moguls decently.

I am 20 years old but am only 5'4' and 135 pounds and have been skiing all my life.

Any recommendations on some twin tips or single tips?

Head Mad trix, perhaps. The performance is certainly there.

Moving to BC really opened up my eyes to what skiing is really about. HINT: Skiing isn't about tiny verticals, shit talking, and private clubs galore. Get the fuck out of Glen Eden and Craigleith or Caledon, and get real.'-what jib this thinks of me

On second thought, for pow, pick up some 166cm Head Mojos. Indestructible and they'll perform everywhere. Great ski.

Because you don't sound like a jibber, my recommendation is the Rossi Bandit B2. Does EVERYTHING well, and has an upturned tail, though it's not a TRUE twin tip. if you get this ski you WILL not be dissapointed. ice, pow, everything, this ski will perform

The B2 is a great ski. I demoed for three days at Jay Peak with it, and its an awesome ski. Great bump ski, wide shovel and has a good float in powder, unless the snow is more than knee deep. Rips on the groomers, and still has the stability and control for mogul lines and powder. Sweet skis.

ive never skiied the Mo'Ships before but just because of its wider shape i dont think it would be too pleasent in moguls. Also due to its wider shape skiing crub might be a little akward but very do able. The Flites are only .25 inches wider than the 1080's under foot and we all know 1080s are a very very decent ski.

WARNING: Pregnant women should not take Zocor because it may harm the fetus.

^^actulally the thing about the 1080s being almost the same size is only true for 162 and 172 Flites. the 182s are a bit larger than the others.

how big are you into moguls, becasue there are the rossignol scrath mogul ski, but i would definatly go with the B2 in you situation

If The women don't find you handsome... atleast they will find you handy

Basically I want an all-mountain ski, possibly a twin tip. I enjoy skiing in powder, in the trees and off the groomed runs. I ski moguls when there isnt any great powder or tree skiing to be found. Some days there just isnt that great of snow and your forced to ski on the hardpack or icy moguls.

if your not really into jibbing, but you want a twin-tip, i would definately consider the trouble maker as an all mountain ski. takes everything in-bounds, and kills it in the park (ad long as you stay away from rails, of course). if you're more into powder, the B2 would probably be a good choice.

I was looking at the Karmas but if i remeber right the shortest length is 169. I was thinking this might be a little long.

Are the mojos a wood or foam core?

166 mojo

166 pollard

158 skogen

160 msp - might be a good choice.

4frnt msp or k2 PE's. both skis can rock the park, the groomers, the POW, and im sure theyd be ok for moguls. both are good and durable

We're all chasing the dream

what about fujatives or public enemies? Im in the same boat as him...I want a ski that can float in poweder but can do ok in the park...so im thinkin the Public enemies or fujatives. They both have 80mm waists right? Is that enough for powder do you think?

Ski tips up!

^^ depends on the flex of the ski. because twin tips have softer tails, they aren't as good as most regular skis of the same width in powder.

I went looking at some all mountain skis and I found last years Volkl 724 pro for a good deal and the Technica Diablo Fire boot. Any comments on these skis/boots?

yea the 724 would be a good pick. I still say B2 Bandits, but 724 would be good as well.

Designed to be an indestructible park ski, not necessarily an all mountain ski.
