Reckoner 102 delam

noticed that my reckoner 102s started to delam underfoot on both skis. I don’t ski park on these so they’re fs covered by warranty. Trying to decide if I should epoxy and clamp or go warranty route. Feels like it will just happen again if I get new ones. Don’t want to waste my time waiting for K2 to process my claim and ship me new skis. What do we think? Should I just glue and pray or get my warranty.

How does that happen? Bad epoxy mix? Not enough? Contaminated bonding surfaces?

either, it’ll get worse. Warranty

Wondering myself. Gotta be a manufacturing issue. I have bad luck/buy the wrong skis when it comes to delamination. Did this to my visions last season.

I will forever bash the reckoners until K2 returns to the bombproof skis they made before it.

Contact them about warranty. But you should also ask if you can glue them back together and keep riding them until the replacement pair comes in. I warrantied a pair of LINE skis last year and they approved the warranty but allowed me to keep riding them until the new pair came in. Different company but still worth a try

Basically the same company just operating under two different brand identities. A lot of their job postings alude to working with both brands and are all out of the same office.

Sane factories too right?

That's unfortunately just K2/Line Quality... I had a pair last year that had full edge/sidewall/topsheet delam and separation within 5 days of riding them. Sorry homie :/

bump because this happened to me as well. delam underfoot along with a cracked edge... I do ski park on these so do you think there's no chance of a warranty? it says it doesn't cover any damage from rails, but how do they/I know what the damage is from?

most of the time the damage tells a pretty good story as far as what happened but K2 has historically been very chill about their warranty policy so it's always worth a go. when you send them pictures/send the skis to them, theres usually burrs/cracks/whatever else from rail use

It’s a bummer too with reckoner durability because for the past couple years, the special 112 models have looked sick. Just wish the skis had the beef to back it up.
