i have a 8.5 ft. flat rail with pvc on the top, the kid who gave it to me used nails (not screws) to attach the pvc to the wooden base. Now the pvc is cracked and i want to replace it, how should i go about taking off the pvc attached with nails through the top? I though about just breaking off the pvc piece by piece

well if the pvc is broken get new pvc and brek old one and pre drill a whole then screw threw

why new kind of materials do you think? also, i have 2 of these 8.5 ft. flat rails, they are identical (exept for the pvc crack) should i just link them together and make a 17 ft. flat rail?

i didnt pre-drill holes, i just screwed up threw the wood into the pvc. works fine. i made a 10ft flat rail and a 10ft c and i used the same precedure on both and they seem to work.
