REASONS MOVIE OF THE YEAR IF3

see sammy and tanners segment in reasons for the REASON why, the movie has the most positive vibes, even non skiers recognize

i love turbo and im happy that i pre-ordered it but i watched reasons today and i almost cried, that movie could've easily (and i thought it was going to) been really corny and lame but poorboyz threw down with an original movie idea. turbo had a good idea with a humbling alaskan ending but it just wasnt enough to go for best film. when it comes to the big screen i definitely agree with reasons but when it comes to 2 months from now im going to be stoked to watch turbo every time because its clearly a movie that will only be sicker each time i watch it.

not surprised. Probably had the most even mix of jibbing, big mountain, and jumps...and not to mention an unreal crew of skiers.

turbo just had way to many sick segments. it really should got movie of the year. reasons was definetly dope but wallisch and hornbeck killed it man..
congrtz to all

yeah but in turbo most of the segments are ill!! you could see it at if3 after like every move people would clap and shit cause it was ill, there was some move i had never seen in my life in that movie so sick!

ya the quebec seg was amazingly well edited.. they put alot of hard work into it.. i mean alot.

definetly i good movie..

i stilled enjoyed turbo more tho

Hands down. Reasons is a good movie to get people who aren't into skiing to appreciate the sport, but as far as entertainment value for actual skiers, there's no question that both of the movies you named are better, I fucking loved them.

reasons flowed nicely. but i cant wait to see TURBO, for footage diversity and outrageous bangers Level 1 has that covered. also STEPT should have gotten most improved from last year. those kids charged.

Jonny D and Berman put it best last night on the pre-show. They're both stoked on each other's films even though they are direct competitors. These guys are true professionals and I'm so thankful we have guys like them in the ski industry. ALL THE FILMS WERE AMAZING!

I LOVED (I'm not kidding, LOVED) Turbo. It's by far (and I mean faaar) the best movie Level 1 has ever put out.

All of the flicks this year were amazing and I really recommend you guys scoping out every premiere you can this fall because as Mr. Josh Berman said last night, "Ski movies have arrived" and it's the truth.

IMO Get Lucky and Turbo were better, but the best segment of the year is the last shot in Head For The Hills, nuff said

if reasons won then every movie put out this year must suck

i saw reasons down at an nz premiere and i thought it was bad and poorly put together, it had some good parts like the quebec jibbing parts, andreas's part and sammy, but other than that there was way to much talking and nuthing really new or interesting. to me it looked like pbp teamed up with warren miller to make this movie, looks like its geared towards 40 eyar olds, i was not impressed

lol I hope your kiding. a movie with 360s in ultra slow mo with crap music and voiceovers cannot take it over turbo. in fact nothing can beat turbo.

Head for the Hills was really good.

I'm surprised to see a few people hating on some of this year's flicks considering, and I'm sure everyone is agreement that attended IF3, all of the movies brought something to the table that was new and exciting.

A few thoughts:

-MLP's Broadcast was so refreshing. It was fun, the skiing was incredible, and the narration was hilarious! Buy this movie!

-Stept and 4bi9 both stepped it up this year. The Martinis continue to get more creative with their filming and their skiing every year. Oh and as far as 4bi9 goes... T-Wall and Harlaut's segments are something people will be watching and rewatching for the rest of this season. Buy these movies.

-Turbo. Wow. Turbo. Level 1 in Alaska. A great mix of powder, park, urban, and back country. L1P continues to have the most loyal and dedicated crew of skiers around. Buy this movie.

-Reasons was really cool. Don't believe the hate in here. If you love skiing, there's really no reason (sorry for the pun) you won't love this film. There's something for everyone and its so nice to see the Poor Boyz guys finally step out of their winning and proven mold and do something different. This film deserved film of the year because theyBuy this movie.

-Head for the Hills - Radio Ron, Shea Flynn, Giray Dadali, Andy Perry, and the rest of the Meatheads crew killed it. However there is one thing Head for the Hills did that Turbo also did and that's show the world that Will Wesson is one of the most progressive and creative urban rail slayers on the planet. Buy this movie.

-Outdoor Education by Voleruz is another fun flick that mixes skiing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. With all the recent Danny Kass nonsense thats been floating around, its nice to see that people of all sports can have a great time together. Download this movie for free over at Voleurz.com.

-The Massive - umm, its Tanner Hall. Why wouldn't you buy it? CP's cinematography is the type of stuff to make even Hollywood heads turn.

-Hunting Yeti - More fun and if you think they gave everything away and you've seen everything in the webisodes, you are very mistaken. I really like what these guys are doing and as I stated above, it's refreshing.

-and last but not least, I'd like to give a huge digital high five to my new friend, Mr. Jeff Thomas over at Theory 3. Jeffy churned out such a great flick with Journal and to be honest, no words I type here can really justify what I saw. Great job buddy.

The truth is, I saw so many films this weekend that now every time I close my eyes I see an epic shot in my head. Instead of hating on certain films, why don't we all step back and be thankful we have so many good and talented people in our industry that are churning out different flicks. I mean, I, for one, am so glad to see the days of shot, shot, shot over lame ass punk rock song.

So for what its worth, I'd like to all the film makers, athletes, and production teams for their hard work. You guys are one of the big reasons IF3 is so successful.

oops. Should've finished my thought. The 1080, Massive, and NS Awards will do that to you.

In my opinion, they deserved to win. Period.

Listen to Rogge... between Turbo and Reasons it's just going to be preference because they're both arguably the best ski movie since ever and you should own both. But... okay I'm a pretty jaded asshole after all this time and I'm not above hate on ski movies, if a flick has b footy weighing it down or isn't well put together in terms of editing and titles etc or for whatever reason it's flaws, I'll be among the first to point them out. But this weekend the movies I was really pumped about greatly outnumbered those I could find any real fault with. There were just way, way more good movies than any other year ever.

People hating: you're fully entitled to your perspective, but from my perspective, you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

Bingo! That is the way to do it. I might get three if i can actually decide on a third. That will already be over $100 on ski movies though. Worth it IMO.
