Reason For Gangster Skiing!

Not everyone is posing.. the posers ar gapers who wear baggy or "cool" stuff and suck at skiing.

I think its mainly we want to be different from racers, we are freeskers and we dress how we want to, not not racers who wear spandex.

Those who act gangster and flash gang signs in their movies should be dropped in the middle of the Bronx at midnight.

But it's ok to wear whatever the ******** you want. Personally, my suit represents the kind of music that I listen to.

Hip-Hop : Baggy

Punk, Emo ; Skinny

Rock : Normal

And by the way, I'm half-black and I have to agree that skiing is one of the whitest sports around. But, anyone remember Nicky Adams and Ian Cosco, I think he's black or half-black.

skiing isnt gangster. no skiers are gangster. you may think i have "gangster" outerwear but its not, its just baggy and i think it looks better. whats wrong with buying outerwear that you like and you think looks good on you?

if skiing is way for white people to show there inner black person then black people should show there inner white person when they ski

haha thats hilarious because this season someone wanted to fight me and i didnt and i ended hitting him in the face with my pole

I've been in multiple fights on the ski hill.  Sometimes I find as much hate on the hill as I do on this site.  Its not from other ns'ers however its from the kid in a starter jacket rippin rentals.  See me throw down, say something like "nice purple t-shirt" (I like my purple tall tee).  And it goes from there.  I am not black or a gangsta but I don't back down from a fight and the hill is where I seem to find them which I hate cause it ruins my good vibe.  That said definitely the desire to seperate from the race culture, the music I bump, and STEEZE.  Just that thug I'm better than you tude seems to fit so well with skiing cause we are in fact better than most skiers on the hill therefore we can pull it off. Its fun

I think its funny how no one has aspired to dress like Al Capone. I mean, come on people, he was PUBLIC ENEMY #1. He is the equivelent of 50 2pacs runnin' around. He was a true G.

This weekend imma rock the top hat and trench coat steeze and carry my gat around my waist. Oh, and my entourage is gon' be by my side...

I swear to god if there is one more thread about this I am going to be forced to call Doug Bishop and have him press the melt the internet button

that having been said, I wear what I want, not because I want to "emulate black culture" I do it because I like the way it looks, why the fuck can't you wear something because you like how it looks, do you really have to have any other reason than that. why do you feel it necessary to have an explanation, its just people wearing what they like.

eh i dont know not exactly i mean trying to be black is preety lame. Like whites can act that way to blacks werent made to act that way thats just how people think they act they sterotype them all the time. anybody can act how ever its america

once at my hill some guys got drunk and there was a 8 person racer brawl the ski patrol had to come and break it up. They all got there seasons passes taken away

I recently became part black, I'll elaborate...My uncle knocked up some jamaican girl while working in Jamaica and they had a baby, ergo the darkness... and having been a gangster only on the ski hills before being black, and now being a gangster all the time I think that the main reason people act like a bunch of darkies is that it feels good to be hood. But seriously being black is great, aside from the weird looks, people always checking my pass and the occasional DWB ( driving while black)

to me i wear tall tee because it prevets snow burn a lot and it just looks better then short clothing. i did not wear a tall tee yesterday and i have a bunch of snow burn on my back

Yes, dressing all alike sets us apart. It doesn't set you apart, but if all the freestyle skiers wear baggy shit and all the gapes wear tight shit, people are gonna know who does what. On a more serious note, I saw a sticker on one of the chairs today that had a picture of an AK-47 and the words "GAP3R KILL3R". I thought it was epic.

Personally ive always wanted to ski in a super baggy dinosaur/bunny suit

wouldn't that be th shit

I think the baggy stuff is kinda funny its just people havin a good time

i believe the real question is:

why are so many gangsters dressing like skiers? it's pathetic really, fucking posers.

two words... Norman Mailer

read "The White Negro" and edubacate yourselves, its all about trying to imitate that which we truly envy about the African American people

yes baggy pants are nice when skiing. but when im not on the hill i wear tight pants to skate. it just seems like what ever you are doing you do what alot of people do. skiing= gangster style, skating= for me tight emo style

Cause we like how it looks.

Who cares if someone beat us to it, it still looks good in our eyes. It's pretty simple, just a style.

I think this "style" eveyone is talking about looks more circus clownish than anything, not that theres anything wrong with that. I wear the baggy stuff too. Me=clown, on the hill.

i say wear what u want, but stay true to urself cus if all u do is follow the mainstream u'll just blend in with the crowd. Stop trying to say ur style is better than someone's or it's more practical, cus who cares as long as their having fun and being respectful.

as for all u people saying that the racers spandex suits r gay:

That's complete bullshit, cus racers don't wear that all the time, they wear it when the race and train cus its more aerodynamic.

it would be retarded to just wear that in the park, but i can guarantee u that racers don't ski around all day in those, they wear them under their snowpants and jackets (unless their racing or doing a race simulation)

don't call it gangster or anything to cus just cus ur clothes r baggy doesn't mean it's gangster. I think some people make it look good, but some take it too far and in my opinion look stupid with their pants like at their thighs and jacket at their knees.

sure i can see how it sets newschoolers apart cus whenever i see i guy in vibrant, loose fitting clothes, i think park, but also, it is in the way u ski, cus if they ski like a gaper, i think their just posers.

I personally wear medium fitting clothes cus they r the most comfortable and practical (for me). (underneath my normal clothes i usually wear compression clothes because they keep u warm and r good during activity, but u can't see them cus they're under everything)

i also respect gapers (to an extent, not the posers or the ones who just hav no clue what they're doing and r a danger to others) cus they just go out to have fun skiing, and don't care what people say about them.

They piss the living shit outta me, but i kinda respect them.

I apologize if I am being a little hypocritical or got off topic, but that's just how i feel and i'm not trying to contradict myself, but sometimes it happens

a lol'd when i read this cause yesterday my friends were making fun of me because my cloths were baggier than the only black skier in the park

pretty sure it just looks funny to have your boots showing, people got bigger pants, kids step it up a level, escalates..... but yea i hate having pants fall down on landings, especially when theres another jump....
