Rear ended coming from the ski hill

So today i was on my way home from the ski hill after a pretty good day of skiing (for the east coast) and got rear ended pretty nicely. Some truck stopped to make a turn, i stop and 2 seconds later get plowed into by some dumbass doing at least 40 who's "foot slipped off the break and hit the gas" luckily the vehicle in front just turned and he only hit me. thinking the car is totaled though which i hope so cause if not it's worth shit.

Pics:

My car is the grey mazda, his is the tan cavalier or something.

oh and yes the skis are okay somehow even though they were in the trunk and my girlfriend and i ended up fine.

no not right now, i feel great. in the morning i might be a little sore haha. i honestly got out of the car not expecting it to be that bad. i felt completely fine, besides the fact i wanted to kill the guy that hit me. my girlfriend does have a nice bruise on her arm where the ski came up and hit her but that's it.

if your insisting on getting money from that then your a fag. uhhh the US is so gay, only people from the us do that.

this.

.... soo you DO have a stiff neck huh? and your taking time off work because you cant focus as much because of your stiff neck. i would go to a few therapy sessions.

nah that's honestly a waste of time. i don't wanna go through all of that stuff just to fuck some guy over. i want no points on my license (can't afford more) insurance to stay the same since it wasn't my fault and a good price on my car from the insurance company. i hate people who do all that lawsuit shit when nothing is wrong, makes it harder for when something actually does happen.

thats a chevy malibu.

if you care.

and sueing for the hell of it is lame. you have a year to file a suit i'm pretty sure. usually injuries like that take some time to really surface.

well duhhhhh, how would you. how would you get rear ended and have damage in the front?? haha but other than that, that blows balls.

You're set dude. In PA if you get rear ended it's the other guys fault no questions asked. Seriously even if you just slammed on the brakes for the hell of it it's the other dudes fault.

this summer i was coming back from getting lunch and i slowed down for a lemonade stand because i wanted some goddam lemonade and some kid railed the shit out of my truck. he completely totaled his car yet the truck got a little bent. apparently my trailer hitch took most of the impact and just sliced his car

+1 for trucks

i hope so. it seems like it should be no questions asked but with that kind of stuff i could see getting fucked over some how.

dammn. I got rear ended yesterday coming back from the hill but the car behind me had way more damage than mine.

Driving home from skiing, in the slowest of stop and go traffic, I watched the lady next to me gun it into the car in front of her. Wrong pedal bitch!

hey how did you like your mazda?
they are fuel efficient sporty looking vehicles. i test drove one...not bad

but any thoughts from an owners perspective?

american steel, looks like a lot less damage. i think that mazda is def totalled. the quarters panels are bulged out, sure sign. did the airbags go off?

^thats because the crumple zones in the back of a car are significantly different from the front. i am absolutely positive that the mazdas actual chassis is in better shape than the chevrolets.. its totalled nonetheless

true. they're both uni-bodies, but i dont think the mazda is as tough. i worked in a body shop for a couple years. every car we saw rear ended with bulged quater panels was totalled. the only time they were ever replaced was a t-bone/sideswipe. i cant imagine any ins company paying for both sides, esp after paying to straighten the frame out again, the liability, and the value drop of the car. that car is jacked up bad lol. another reason i like my truck more.

My friend, your car is totaled. Make sure you get a rental car, the other guys insurance covers it.

"If the cost of repairing the vehicle, plus its salvage value, plus rental reimbursement expense during repair equals or exceeds its actual cash value, it is not economically feasible to repair."

wow swing and a miss, would have been a lot funnier if there wasnt the same joke right above yours..

but dam that sucks op, bondo will fix it right up though

it was a nice car, fuel efficient like you said and was honestly a decent handling fun car to drive. did decent in the snow, overall i'd say it was a good car. i just didn't really like it because i want something faster. i need to hear blow off valves lol.

the airbags didn't go off which sucks and my dad and i are going to talk to the insurance company tomorrow and get the rental situation and hopefully mostly everything else out of the way. still praying for a good price for my car and that it's totaled (it has to be...right?) for a MS3.
