REALTIME

Alright so i just bought realtime today for 32 bucks, it is seriously one of the worst movies ive seen. You may view it differently than i do but sorry thats my opinion. The fuckin techno music is the most annoying shit ever and it doesnt stop. I personally thought there was too much of the same thing in the urban segs. It got real repetitive The footage is alright, but it is sooo fucking fast paced its hard to watch. I didnt even watch it all the way through the first time cause i was pissed that i wasted my 32 dollars. My brother bought Idea at the same time i bought realtime and I have to say that Idea appeals to me so much more. Like i said the footage is good and the skiers are good but its just too fast paced and its got shitty music.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

ya...i agree.  I thought yeahdude was way better.  Theres WAY too many timelapses, and its too repetitive.  I would have also liked to see a couple more well-known skiers in it.  In my opinion the only sick things in it were the segments with Ahmet in em.....hes got so much style on jumps.

i hear your frustrations, but since you spent $32 on it, watch it again. it is my favorite ski film of this year and the more you watch it the more you will appreciate it. maybe it was too fast paced for you the first time, but the way i judge films, music, and art is not in the first viewing/impression but after i let it marinate for a while and take it all in. that may change your opinion.

to each his own though, not everyone is going to feel the same way i do.

i always hate level1 films the first time i watch them. you have to keep watching them, and you will notice little things that will just blow your mind. since level 1 doesnt really use a lot of slow motion you have to watch it 3 or 4 times just appreciate the tricks being done.

i haven't seen realtime yet but i gotta say i was a little disappointed with yeah dude. i mean the shots are pretty and the video quality looks sick on my plasma but i just felt like the overall quality of riding went down. a lot of up and coming jibbers. sammy had some sick spins but i liked his segment last year better. it seems like maybe they lost some of their best riders to other projects and the film suffered. i hope realtime is worth it.

you people are always disappointed with any movie you watch it seems like. every single ski movie I saw this year had lots of shots of people skiing and gettin extreme, therefore I liked them. Stop being so picky. The only segment I REALLY didn't like this year would have to be the whistler jump segment in 7 sunny days with the organ music and slow mo. but seriously People complain about movies way too much I just think it's dope to watch skiing...

I cant wait for my friend (scratchflyer) to get it. Vanular is my fav. skier, the movie looks hella dope.

now that im in a better mood i do gotta say that i liked the second half of the movie a lot more than the first. but still i just dont like how fast paced it is. it is sick skiing so whatever haha

Quite frankly, the shots are perfect, the editing is amazing, the timelapses are well placed and give a certain feel to the movie. Timelapses show travel and obviousl time, and Realtime is all about the year in chronilogical order, it just plain old makes sence. The skiing in the movie is incredible, everyone slays. The best thing abuot the movie is how Berman keeps bringing in new kids with tons of tallent. Hornbeck, Delorme, Tom, Ahmet, Wiley, Clarke the list goes on. I would say if you live on the East coast you will love this movie no matter what, and if you live on the west coast you'll probably love it, but you might rather watch something like IDEA.

We'll see ya

I just wish travis redd was in it more casue hes the man, i also wish they did a director commentary but with travis instead of berman casue hes funnier.

Great advice.

Everytime I pick up a new ski movie, regardless of what I've heard about the film, or seen. I never really get into that movie until the 2nd or 3rd time around. Where the tunes get stuck in your head, or really good shots of a huge drop, or close call are etched into your memory and you can count down to when they appear on screen.

My advice would be to watch the movie a few more times in the course of a few days. If it doesn't grow on you, and still doesn't seem worth the $32, sell it on here, someone will buy it, no doubt.

ski movies suck end of story but i think realtime is maybe the only one that comes close to being a movie. other than idea

yeah like the first denver urban seg was soo chill/relaxing but at the same time what was being thrown down was dope, best movie ever, level1 rules

thankyou.

you have just prompted me to buy this movie.

since you liked idea yet hated this movie and i hated idea i have reason to believe i will like realtime.

yeah definetely, i like that they don't use a bunch of slow motion i think regular speed looks sick and gives you more of a sense of what's really going on.

ski movies always have sick teasers but usually never live up to there teasers. and IN SHORT the snowboard movie is so DOPE. (it is a documentary) but is a good feel to it and good editing and fun style

Your a fucking dumbass REALTIME was by far the best movie of the year. Such crazy urban stuff and sick backcountry and rediculous park shots too. Yeah dude blows so bad i cant even watch it any more after seeing realtime

More big name people? Who the F cares what their name is, when they slay that hard. And the people in Berman's movies always absolutely slay. Look at Travis Redd.. If you've never seen a L1P movie, you'd have no clue who he is... yet he slays harder than just about anyone. And i'm willing to bet the "big name pros" you're talking about wouldn't do half the shit Hornbeck, Delorme, Ahmet and Wallisch did at the park shoots.

ya i would say watch it a few more times cuz when i watched Shanghia six i didnt think it was anything great but after i watched it a few times it did grow on me, but not as much as i thought it wouldve..

I thought LSS sucked so bad after just watching it once but i gave it another look and liked it more and then another and another and soon it became my favorite ski movie of all time. Something about berman movies dont jump out at you at first but if your willing to go into them with an open mind they are amazing.

Sometimes I wonder if some of the kids on this site actually like skiing. Watching skilled riders shred while set to music is fun, because it reminds me of how much fun it is to actually do it. Stop taking it so seriously.

Yea I actually liked the almost complete absence of Hip-hop/rap in the movie. The couple reggae songs were sick and most of the other music went really well.

I got that it had a vibe like HIgh Five(one of best level 1 movies because of the fun/non-serious vibe). Like the black guy saying it was all gansta, the kid showin his water gun, and just everyone having fun. The commentary was done really well and wasn't distracting like MSP's is or Gagniers seg in HIgh Five. I think realtime is a combination of high five and the later movies like shanghai six and lss.

Im getting to the point where I am starting to really like the music, but theres one song where the guy cant sing and its annoying. I think he could have used one less techno song and it would be amazing.

I'd say this is the best level 1 movie ever made and the 2nd best ski movie ever(behind Idea). The shooting was incredible(its nice to see shots from a heli park shoot that aren't slow mo). The skiing is really good, and you get to see skiers that aren't in every other movie. The DL song at the end was DOPE.

The Realtime soundstrack is great and works very well with the movie.

The skiing is just sick too! I've watched it 5 times now and it just keeps getting better. You really have to watch it a bunch to catch all of the sickness!

i can't tell you how many times i've watched the REALTIME trailer....i need to buy that movie so badly.

i actually heard that it was the worst level 1 movie to date from many people, but i can say nothing because i havent seen it for myself

thank you very much, yea there were no doubles thrown in the movie but the steeze level was at a 10, which counts more in my book, espically delormes crossed trucks so sick

i just bought it today and it is the best movie ive seen yet, and ive seen idea, enjoy, and yeah dude...

i thought it was a great movie. I really liked all the timelapses especially. And by the way the music was bomb

i've seen high five, shanghai six, lss and realtime - realtime is the best movie i've ever seen for sure...good music, fuckin good riders and amazing tricks n urbans

btw: i think idea is fuckin boring
