I curently ski on the east coast and it gets really cold. like -30 and sometimes -40. s thankso I need really warm gloves. thanks

I already have done some searching and have heard some really good things about hestra but they are way to expensive for me. But aside from them I havn't found anything usefull. I would really like to hear from someone who also skis in the same kind of weather that I do.

Buy some Mountain Hardwear Habaneros. Seriously. Warmest, most versitile, and durable gloves without spending 2 hundo.

I ski on PEI and Newfoundland mostly, and sometimes Maine, believe me, it gets cold here. It gets down t0 -35 celsius with windchill. You pretty much have to have every millimetre of your skin covered. I layer my gloves, with close fitting fleece ones underneath and my regular ones on top, however, this somewhat compromises freedom of movement. I still recommend a good pair of mittens for east Coast chill.

I have a really warm Pair of gordini mitts that I bairly wear, I would sell them to you if you want. They are black and fuzzy and warm on inside

How much is too much to spend? You can get Hestra Heli-Guide gloves for about US$100. If you have seen the Discovery Channel show "Everest, Beyond the Limit", you can see that most of the clients, guides and Sherpas are wearing those gloves.

If they are burely enough to wear on the summit of Everest, they would probably suffice in Newfoundland and Maine.

i've been rocking cold weather work gloves coated with that beeswax sno-seal stuff for the past 2 seasons. 10 bucks at any gas station.
