Really want to do a 360

so its my first season ever and i really want to do a 360. idk if im doin it wrong or if my skis are too heavy for starters. i ride 166 afterbangs with head mojo bindings. any tips?

Find a nice roller and practice throwing 270 then buttering it out. Once I realize u can spin short and ride away, it's not so bad going all the way. Don't lean back, stay square. Or just huck it

your skis really aren't to heavy, if anything you need to just start some leg workouts(if you are already strong then this doesnt really effect you) but you need to commit. that's the main part. Go to forums, then go to cults, then go to the trick tip forum and read what they have to say. It will explain it perfectly, good luck dude.

a couple years back, i remember having trouble with 3s.

i built a jump on a golf course down the street and seshed that for a couple hours and learned it.

you need to remember to prewind tour body/arms the opposite way u are going to spin before the jump, then pop at the lip, and spin your natural way, because of the prewind you will have more power for spinning. and remember to look with your head!!!! where your head looks your body will follow, so look over ur left shoulder if u spin left, right shoulder if u spin right. you will be blind for a sec, bet keep lookin for ur landin, at 270 u will see it and slow down your spin (this will happen automaticly) then stomp it!

good luck!

me and my frends had a plan to go to the golf course but we couldnt and now the snow is all melted -_-. but thanx guys +k

just try it off a park jump and dont be scared, and fully commit to it! also beginners tend to lean back or not lean forward enough when learning spins, and land backseat, so remember to lean a bit forward like u normally would when doing it!

like everyone else said just commit. and turn your head to where your spinning until you spot your landing-- you head denotes where you spin pretty much

ski up to jump with speed, pop, turn your head (your body follows where your head turns), and throw your arms to gain more momentum.

Don't worry about messing up, because in the end you're just having fun.

Im tellin ya man, if you can get comfortable hucking a 3 on the roller. It'll help you get your wind up and spin square w little to no consequence then when u hit a jump it'll be that much easier w so much time to get it around. Not that the advice here wasn't good, not hating here. But if it's a mental thing that's got ya, That'll do the trick. all about progression homie, build it up. It'll look cleaner in the end.. Anyway Good luck you'll get fast!

alright hopefully ill get to go to sunapee this weekend or next and ill find a roller. its not that im scared or anything it just i cant do it

I know what u mean it was the same for me. I felt like everything was so heavy I couldn't fIgure how everyone was throwing it so effortlessly. Then I went at the whole roller progression thing, it cured me quick. Not saying I'm throwin dub corks but i never took half the falls my friends did just hucking it way backseat on the jump line. In the end same result. Then like I said, once ur comfortable and square even the tiniest bit of extra air time seems like an eternity after trying to huck the shit out of it.

prewinding is what fucked me up.... I would say just remember to lift up your skis at the tip of the jump.... POP off the jump and tuck your legs in.... prewinding would always throw my 360 off balance and i would land backseat.. but it may depend on the person.

i learned the hard way kind of i thought that if i just booked shit off a jump and spune i would land it.....no i smashed my face multiple times and broke my ass(not really) just ride up to a smaller jump at a decent speed enough to clear the gap . stay squared up and sometimes it helps when your on the jump to have a wider stance once you see your tips hit the lip of the jump pop and rotate your head and body to 180 degrees and keep spinning. till you see your landing at 360 degrees open up and land. it may take a few tries btw and try it on a jump you are used to good luck hope i could help a little!

Got my first last weekend. Just be confident and pop hard. Prewinding is helpful for sure. Stance your skis, then when you're fresh off the lip, punch the direction you want to spin (i.e. if you want to spin right, punch your left arm to the right). Just gotta be confident.

If you do it on a small jump, nothing can go wrong.

-if you don't make it past 180, you heavyhead and afterbang it out like a champ

-If you are stuck at 270, you land and butter the last 90 and you're fine.

-You make it to 360 and have succeeded at doing a 360. Now reach your left arm over to your right shoulder, and once you have made contact, give yourself a pat on the back.

learn how to ski properly first....in like 10 years when you love skiing still and cant ski the park you will regret not being able to ski well. Park gets old after a while making great turns is awsome.

^ quality post
and yea thats exactly it. but i can only add practice... you won't get good until you trial and error it.
took me probably 3 solid days of throwing 3's off ever jump in nitro to get the style that comes with it.

it's also just a three, you don't need to do it over a huge jump. you can practically do it off the ground, you just need a little roller or bump. might look gross but gotta start somewhere.

just huck as hard as you can on a really small jump. i learned on a jump 5 feet (maybe less) by just throwing it has hard as I could. i ended up landing it almost the first time. and with a small jump it doesnt matter as much if you fall

i landed my first 3 with a grab off a 25 foot park jump and my first 5 just twist ur hips and look around ur shoulder to the landing kinda look focus on grabbing tail because that will keep u focused on having ur shoulders twisted

so yesterday i think i did one good 3 but no1 was there to tell me if i did but other than that i did all 270s and them spun out
