why would any parent send there kid to that camp and who on earth is that racist. you dont even have to be a relativist to know thats messed up

if u think about it, every religion is a cult. and if u go into each religion's place of worship with the mindset that their all fucking out of their minds, it all works and is hilarious

yea i laugh at church the one time i go there with my girlfriends family...and wut!!

fortunatly her family believed that i accepted jesus into my heart and was overcome with happiness, blah blah blah

i go to a cathloic high school, not cuz im catholic but because of the lacrosse team is ranked 1 in the state...but i see some kids like that im scared
 
that is so messed up, those people made me really angry, i mean im christian and believe and god, etc. but what the fuck is that??? having kids say they would "die for jesus" thats just messed up
 
cuz i opened the bible during theology quiz...looked at a random passage...and saw that and i found it somewhat inspiring and and it was cool

i think thats fucking dumb. making a movie on christian extremists trying to mould kids into new extremists is just so stupid. like fuck some of those kids are so young they dont even know what jesus is and these people are telling them they NEED jesus to live....fuck
 
those are the people who give christans a bad name. Now if someone saw that they might turn it into all christans are that way and it isnt true.
 
Wow, talk about taking it too far, I am christian and beleive and god and all of that, but those kids are saying that they would die for jesus ... and they are like 10 !!
 
I understand giving kids a christian upbringing, and i understand bringing them to church, going to Sunday school etc. But in no way should these kids EVER be brainwashed like they are...

The whole point of faith and the christian belief is making a conscientious choice, for yourself, whether you believe it to be true or not. goodness.
 
the people in that video are like hardcore christian, not catholic. im proud to say im a catholic and catholics aren't even remotely close to anything like that.
 
alright, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

first, jesus wasn't a fictional character. there are countless historical records that prove his existence.

second, don't talk about something that you don't understand at all.

third, those aren't catholics, they are christians. and christians put alot more of their focus onto jesus christ than catholics do. yes, they still worship god, but they worship jesus equally. catholics worship both, but with more of an emphasis on God.
 
agreed. but where do you draw the line between not really giving them a choice as to if they go to church and sunday school or if you are just super enthusiastic about your preaching.
 
Christianity(sp) is go for kids when growing up (i went to a christian school from K-4) And i guess im not that bad haha. But seriously, evangelical(sp) christians are fucking nuts. They could just live a normal christian life and have fun but no they HAVE to bring back Jesus, they HAVE to be the ones who bring him back and get EVERYONE to believe in God. My message to them is everyone is gonna choose what the fucking wanna choose whether they believe in God(like myself) or don't. Its all personal choice, forcing it is stupid.
 
ok.. that is a little extreme. But i, personally am a christian and i believe in god. But im not out to try and sway everyone's opinion or beliefs. If someone wants to ask me about what i believe and why i believe it.. i'll be happy to tell them. But the people that are like extremist "IF YOU DON TBELIEVE WHA TI BELIVE YOUR ALL GOING TO HELL!LKJ SDFLJSLFKJ AHHHHHHHHH" are the people that ruin it for everyone.

Look, people: that is an extreme. You peeps are the same ones that say that we shouldn't profile all muslims as terrorist suicide bombers, well, all evangelicals are not this far up their butt brainwashing the kids like that.

This trailer could be a show of some very disturbing things within a single church... just liek the "God hates fags" church which is not representative of christianity. The things shown int he video could be taken out of context (well, no, they are) and not that bad within. This church is not representative of anything given the information given in the trailer (slim to none) about denomination and beliefs of this church.

The thing is, i have seen and heard what they show and say in the trailer in real life, and really, it's what we all as christians believe. When it's accompanied with the weird happenings and editing centering to show something is messed up, then yeah, the message is misconstrued to seem lunatic. But i have seen people fall down and shake uncontrollably on the floor, people crying during services. This stuff happens.

What freaks ME out, is the fact that these are CHILDREN saying and doing this. They haven't even discovered the world of adolescence, and theya re supposed to have made a decision on what they believe in matters that adults with strong faiths still struggle with? The one rat tailed kid doesn't knwo what the heck he is saying. I though i was saved at 4, he knows nothing of what he is saying implies. The stuff he is saying is something his dad or parents or one of those persons in the church said.

It's scary, because it's children in an extreme.
 
Catholics are Christians. You are a christian if you believe that Jesus = God. Catholics believe that. Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity just like Presbyterianism, Lutheranism, and even Mormonism.
 
Yea, I agree with almostaskier, and the others on here who recognize that there are extremists to every religion who in no way represent the common population, so people need to think twice before they judge all Christians as that way. Its not even all "evangelical Christians" as the people doing this kinda stuff it's just the Christians who take it to the extreme.
 
thats like calling snowboarders the same as skiers. we both ride something on snow, we both worship snow, but we both have pretty different ways of doing it.

i also never said that catholics don't believe that jesus=god, i said that christians put much more of an emphasis on worshipping jesus in particular.

the people on this website that are saying that all people who classify themselves as christians or catholics act the same way that the people in that video act are the same people that say that all muslims are bad because a few of them flew planes into the damn world trade center. do yourselves a favor and don't make generalizations about people based on a video you found on the internet. yes, 25% of the population may be catholic or christian, but about a quarter of a percent of those people are as extreme as those people.
