ok, so i've done a bit of research and narrowed my choices down.

what do people think would be the best ski for me? i predominantly want to use if to jibbing round town and in the park but maybe a little powder use would be good too. I'm kinda just learning to do rails and spins but been skiing for about 4 years.....so what ever is best for transitioning to park skiing..

Line Afterbang : http://www.skibartlett.com/line-afterbang-ski---0910---155cm-166cm-177cm---was-250-3778-p.asp

or Phil larose pro : http://global.skipass.com/gearguide/ski/2008/liberty/Phil-Larose-Pro-Model-1.html

I can get both with decent bindings and a set of salomon poles for £300.. Anyone help me decide between them?

get armada el rays they are an all mtn ski that sounds perfect for you plus they sound like they are in your pricce range look them up at armadaskis.com. plus you can get last years version because i think that they are the same as the new ones but im not sure. but last years version will be cheeper

Just had a look at the El Rey, looks like a nice ski but all i can find is £350+bindings and poles so would be looking towards £500 for the full setup :( Plust i'd have to pay postage, The 2 skis i mentioned earlier are in shops just round the corner from me so would be easy to get hold of...

yeah definitely go with laroses to begin in the park, but the transition between park and pow you be like el rays or 09/10 fujas, cause they have a wide shovel to get through the pow, but still be able to get through the park with no problems. El rays can be found at a pretty good price, but be aware that they are stiff

look at last years model it should be much cheeper. try going on shopkiwi.com and then shearch armada el rays last years model has a blue and gray top sheet

So larose rather than afterbangs?

i always thought the larose pros looked a bit thin... but then again i know nothing about park skiing. will these take abuse in the streets jumping on rails and falling down stairs or off roofs?

i kinda looked at the afterbangs cause i got told that they are pretty much indistructable...

Thanks for all the advice everyone .... if i can find el rays in a shop that is near me i will get them... but at the moment i think it's looking like i'll be getting the larose pros. if people think the larose is better than the afterbang i'll get them....

don't get the el rays.

afterbangs have durability problems from what i've heard.

get the phil larose pros. liberty makes super light skis.

Thank you all :D i'll hopefully be getting them this weekend. they did come with salomon Z10 bindings but managed to get a set of STH12 bindings...FREE!!!! :D
