So last week some of the ATA force cut through some trees and ended up in a little closed run, skied one of the best pow runs we have ever gotten (chest deep) but ended up getting our passes taken for awhile. So I am sitting here Saturday morning looking outside as it dumped another 18 inches of snow on us, on our already insane base. Karma is great, I love not being able to ride this! I know everyone will say poach but I cant do that too much, dont wanna risk getting it taken all year. Have fun you Coloradians!!!

u got to ski in chest deep pow....thats not to bad of a deal...lol actually that sux dude

i don't see how they could take your pass because you came on to the trail through the woods...if you went into the woods from an open trail, and just "happened" to come out on the closed one, they shouldn't have done anything. Or did you give them attitude? lol

if they ask for your pass tell them you hiked up the mountain and skied down. but even if u did get it taken you can still do road gaps, urban etc. I would be doin it all day and night if we had nice snow

you def got the bad side of a patroller cause we were poachin pow opper alll day a cuple weeks ago got caught and the patroller was like i'msupposed to tell you not to do that be i won't enforce it

you proly got it taken b/c that patroller was just in an avy on a closed run, so they get touchy around those times.

The day after the avy at abasin I got mine clipped (corner clipped off if they stop you again its gone for season) for being on the wrong side of a line I didn't duck.

I went to the pass office and got another for free before the patroller could report it and continued to ride in different coat (no coat).
