funny hting is u guys call this guy a newb...but he could kno more then u....just cause he has been on a site for a small amount of time doesnt mean u no NOThing about the sport....newschoolers isnt the only site u can learn things about skiing

because it keeps getting taken down because of problems with newschoolers and the brand of skis these 2 riders ride, so now, this post has nothing to do with the brand of skis these riders ride, which wont be mentioned, in hopes this thread can stay up.
 
i like ninthward skis and stuff, they sponsor good skiers, but i cant stand how they try asnd look all ghetto the skiers, its so annoying, looks absolutley retarded
 
agreed. it was a very good edit...but this video only secures ninthwards spot as the most wankster/poser company in the entire industry.
 
and i thought that video was so dumb..im sorry but i just dont get the whole gangter thing..that was more of a thugged out french rap music video than a ski edit.
 
By the way, only a few seconds of that hour of film was really skiing. Oh and that was the sickest butter I've ever seen.
 
Progressive? Random clips of guns, weed, porn, dogs biting trees, and other crap with a bit of skiing thrown in. SO PROGRESSIVE! I hope we start seeing more 5 minute edits with 10 seconds of skiing. Thanks Mik D, for always keeping it real and being on the edge of progression.

P.S. Bulletproof vests are blowing up! I heard Orage is making a jacket out of kevlar for next year. When you're working on switch cork 9s you can't be worrying about being capped by some foo.
 
You guys realy dont get it. First of they do not act ghetto, that is were the jews were restrained to during WWII by the nazis, if you are going to classify them as anything they act thug or gangstar. Becuase they have bagy pants on and have an unussual interest in bootys and guns does not mean they think they are black, they may act or dress thug but that does not mean they think they are black. Also about people complaining about how lame it is to use freench hip/ hop, rap, they are freench or freench canadian so i would think naturley they would use hip/hop in there native toung. Also who gives a shit how they act, they are haveing fun and that is what this is all about. The main drive behind this branch of skiing is the freedom to do whatevr u want and to escape the ridged rules of FIS. Also to anyone saying the leval of skiing is low, you are flat out an idiot. In one of the other poast on this video someone said " they suck for pros, there best trick was a switch cork 7 and it didnt even have a grab" just to clariffy this for anyone that wasnt sure, they intentionaly did not grab there skis. Also you should notice that even though the skis were not grabed there hands were not flailed one bit. They were more focused on pulling smoth cab 7, 180, butter or 270 on with style rather then pulling off the sickest cab 1080, 1440 or 540 switch up to 126789678679 out. Its not that they are not capable of pulling these tricks, just look at michel Ds victories in past us opean big airs, they are just sick of spinning to win. Something evry one complains about on this site. They are simply moveing there skiing in a very progresive direction that i personaly would like to see more of. You may not agree on there fashion sense or how they spend there free time but they arent asking you to nor are they expecting you to.
 
that was a crazy edit, if i had ADD and really fast eyes i probably woulda got more out of it though
 
i didnt really read any of it... i just skimmed it briefly recognizing a plethora of mispelled words and an incompetent assertion of the word "ghetto" which by definition around the 1950s would have exclusively meant a poverty stricken jewish confine during world war II, however currently the word ghetto is widely accepted as any place of residence understood in which those in extreme poverty reside alongside other members of the same demographic in the same unfortunate predicament.

No, you don't get it. I don't give a fuck how these guys act or what they do in their spare time. You're right, they can do whatever the hell they want. The point is, they made a ski edit with a ridiculously low percentage of actual skiing. At least half of it had absolutely nothing to do with anything. It wasn't even "lifestyle." It was just random clips of stuff, most of which connected to being thug or gangster. Neither Mik D nor Laurent is a thug or gangster. You don't just say "You know what? Thugs are cool, I want to be one." Its a product of your environment and your upbringing. Being into the rap lifestyle is one thing, carrying guns and wearing bulletproof vests is another. Neither of those things belong on a skier, and that's where it becomes an issue. If you want to do that and look like a fool (in most people's eyes), fine. But just leave it out of skiing.

I'm so confused of this whole concept of progression....first you guys don't want to see huge hucked spins. Now someone slowed everything down and chilled out with the biggest tricks and its not good enough. What do you really want?
 
i think he is trying to say that mickael deschenaux doesnt know how to make an edit and that the whole edit should have been skiing and not just random shit thrown around...he does make a valid point but that video is mad tight
 
Yea last time i checked at the x games no one wanted to ever see another cab 10 or 540 switch up to 12679709 out again and now that some one has put out a short video with nothing but slow spins with style you guys think they suck cause they aint doing cab 10s. which by the way they could pull if they wanted to, but they dont
