Realistic Zombie Survival Game

you need to buy arma2 combined operations (this is basically a pack containing arma 2 and the arma2 co expansion operation arrowhead)

then download the free dayz mod, preferably using dayz commander or sixlauncher, these two little programs are there to automatically update and manage your dayz mod wich is pretty damn useful cause manual installation is a bitch ....

anyways, all info can be found on the dayz website and forums, take a look over there if you're having trouble with somthing ! :)
 
instead of getting the individual servers going and crafting stuff we should get a group together on one of these servers
 
Alright who wants to play? I just got it the other night and I'm such a noob, but I'm in the church in cherno if anyone wants to meet up. Tell me what server. I really wanna play with someone right now, it's no fun alone because I always just die..
 
Unfortunately the group of us that played have all pretty much quit the game. It's super fun for a while but eventually gets repetitive. I could give you some tips/answer any questions you have though if that helps. And if you really want to play with others, and it so much more fun that way, go to: http://www.reddit.com/r/dayzlfg. Nope. Our crew was sick for about a week then we all just stopped playing. There might be 1 or 2 people that still play but thats it.
 
still playing, got a pretty sick kit now, m4a3cco aimpoint (with flashlight), svd dragunov camo, g17 handgun with flashlight

coyote 24slot backpack

all my inventory space is dedicated to ammo, backpack slots are for the svd and the svd ammo, 2 painkiller boxes, 2 morphine injectors, a can of food, a waterbottle and some more ammo

currently i'm saving silenced ammo for m9 and m4, once i get my hands on one of those i'll have a pretty sick bandit kit and i can start killing :)

or if i can find an m24 i'll start sniping, the svd is pretty sweet but i find it a tad hard to aim ....

also, woootwooot, found my first heli crash site, too bad it was already plundered :/

only loot left was a fn fal and an m107 without ammo, i tried the fal and figured it would be a pretty sick gun for hunting players but at that stage i needed a better allround gun, like my m4a3 so i dropped it in the woods

can you make your way to the airfield ?i'm up at nw airfield, usually i spend like 30min on a server to raid it and make my way to stary and raid the military camp there, then go to a new server and vice versa :)

btw, i just swapped my svd for a dmr, similar rifle but way more common ammo + ppl wil be less likely to think i'm a bandit .....

also nagged a m9SD and plenty of ammo from a dead guy

and finally found myself a map :P

and sure i wanna group, only problem, i'm still on the old 1.7.3 version and pretty much on the other side of the map :P

I would love to play this game......again...but they're just so many hackers and shady admins that it's no longer a lot of fun anymore. Oh well the standalone version of DayZ should becoming out in a few months
 
I had to stop myself from playing because I played way too much. Just did a build so I guess im gonna have to start playing again. add me on steam Vee925
 
Arma 2 is a lot more CPU intensive than it is GPU. Switching graphics, such as shadow quality, to high will take some of the load off your CPU
 
1) You downloaded some sort of Trojan virus that stole your key and sold it to me or the other 10,000 hackers

2) Programs that are designed to guess and check for valid keys guessed your key number

 
Bought Arma2 and everything required for the game to work, no idea how to get the dayz mod. Spent the money like two months ago and I have never played it, sucks.
 
Download DayZ Commander once that's downloaded go to the install tab and install the newest version DayZ and download the first map for it. It's extremely easy to do and is worth it.
