Realistic Zombie Survival Game

yes type in arma co only one download available and it comes with dayz. in order to go online you need to download a program that lets you play lan over the internet(this is how im playing it) but it works
 
^^blood bags are only good if you're actively teaming up with other players, otherwise, look for a hatchet, knife and matches, then go hunt in the woods (all these items are pretty common, usually i find em on one raid through cherno or elektro ...)

a cow gives 8 steaks, a bore 4 and then you have some other critters, goats and rabbits....

annyways, kill one with your gun , then gut it with your hunting knife, collect the raw steaks, then go into the forest, use your hatchet on a tree to collect a wood pile, make a fireplace with your matches, light the fire then cook the meat on the fire, each steak gives 800blood so 1 cow replenishes 6400blood which is pretty good if you ask me :)

meat is actually pretty easy to find, if you're moving from one city to another, try to get off the roads and you'll be sure to stumble upon an animal within a few minutes ....

(ps: the fire attracts zombies and the smoke is visible from far away so it also attracts bandits, try to make your fire somewhere hidden, preferably in a dense part of the forest, far away from any buildings ... and don't forget to put it out when you're done cooking)
 
I didn't know steaks gave blood, that's really useful. But I've never found matches. I just died so maybe I'll try this out on my new spawn.
 
canned food gives 400 or 600 blood i think, but since it's become pretty rare it's best to acquire a knife, hatchet and matches asap, if you have those and a canteen you can survive forever in the wild :)

also some advice, it's a survival game first and a shooter second, a gun is important but bandages, morphine, pain pills etc. are even more vital ....

these first aid things can only only be found near the bigger coastal cities (cherno and elektro are the only places with hospitals) so once you venture north into the country you better make sure you have that stuff in stock, cause inland you're only gonna find those on other players..

last time i played i wandered way into the country, on my way to the airfield when i got attacked by a Z and it broke my leg, without morphine injector i was forced to crawl all the way back to cherno/elektro, i just gave up and tapped out. i had a really decked out character, AK47 m1911 plenty of ammo, food, water etc. but i didn't have a morphine injector and that killed me :/
 
I keep getting the error message, "Addon dayz_code requires addon CABuildingParts." I just want to play this fucking game.

my brother is fucking incredible at videogames and hasn't lasted longer than 20 minutes in the game ever. he says it's nearly impossible, but that hatchet idea is pretty sick.
 
Does bootcamp take up a lot of space on your harddrive? Cause I wanna play on my mac, but I really don't have that much space
 
boot camp itself only takes up a little bit of space. But you will need to give it enough space to install windows and the game at least so like 50GB's? i forget how big windows is and the game is. it is a bitch to re-size it later but i made a guide on here how to do that a few days ago.

 
Oh shit I only have like 12 gigs free haha. Looks like thats not gonna happen. I used to have an external but I lost that, which sucks cause it had like 5 years worth of family pictures on it... shit.
 
Yeah windows 7 itself is probably 15GB ish??? shot in the dark

and the game will be a bit so unless you could make a biit of room that probably won't work :/
 
I bought Arma II CO on steam and when i try to open arma II i get this message

you guys who get error message should just ask the game supports team, they'll help you quickly and a lil better than us haha or just check some vid on youtube or just type your error message in google.
 
me ans shane.t fucked shit up for a while. decided to kill a person and he got killed in the process. We need to get like 5 people all on one server and have a massive group.
 
I am having so much trouble with this fucking game, so I just bought the steam version of Arma 2 Combined Operations, how the hell do I download the DayZ mod? I keep getting some error message when I try to play Operation Arrowhead. Whats my problem here?
 
haha, just finished an exam and played it for like 2 hours, i made my way onto the airfield in the northwest, found a PDW and an ak47cobra both with plenty of ammo, also found a big backpack, and other cool stuff

anyways, i got sniped, luckily i didn't die instantly so i waited to wake up, i had a broken leg so luckily i had 1 more morphine, used it, bandaged myself but now i'm in the middle of a zombie infested airfield with only 3 000/12 000 blood, blurred vision, random fainting i must find a way to get out of here and slaughter a cow or something for meat :P

 
first i'm gonna try and get my character out of the airfield alive, if i make it or don't make it perhaps tonight ?

 
everyone go in the dayz cult and post your steam username on there so we can add each others and play. I'm down to team up with you guys If I can find a gun haha I've been searching for one for over 4 hours -.-
 
alright, i managed to escape the airfield with 3000 blood left :Pfound a pig and raided a convenience store in vybor, all while blacking out every now and then and not being able to see more than a few feet :P

if you've made your way up to that area shoot me a pm and we can raid the NW airfield together (if you can raid a hospital in cherno or elektro first for some morphine (this is pretty much the only thing you cannot find up here)

PS: i don't use steam, my player name is 'Frats', if you bring a decent handgun i'll trade it for my PDW and 3 mags :)
 
i'm switching, i'm still in vybor near the office building and supermarket, i'm doing this so i can raid em a couple of times :)
