Real-life example of obama's policies

have you ever realized that the people who advocate for free speech (protesters) are often the first ones to try to take it away from other people. kind of hypocritical don't you think?

furthermore, the doctrine of the common liberal is to preach tolerance, meanwhile they are intolerant of anyones views that differs from theirs.

the truth hurts doesn't it?

Conservative views are fine. The issue is that what you often express just represent a scary look into the thought process of many people in this country...

like fearing Obama is a muslim, or not wanting to vote for him (in part...also due to policies) because he has a name that looks muslim...even though he is definitely a christian.

Or assuming that the majority of poor people are lazy.

That is what is so scary. Not your conservative views. Like abortion...I am pro choice, but I can totally understand being pro-life and can respect that being a personal choice as long as it does not affect my life.

Saying that Obama looks like Osama and that is a justification to be opposed to him is not ok. It is fucking awful and represents a huge issue in this country (one that is also not limited to the far right, BTW)

So I ask again...

yes or no on the majority of poor people being lazy?

im with you dude, i dont think that the majority of lower class is lazy, and i think that they have the right to money for doing hard work, but there are those cases of people sitting on our tax money and doing nothing to try and get out of thier situation, i thikn maybe the government should screen the people theyre giving funds to or something.

Aight.

I apologize. I'm all wound up. Some of my posts have sarcasm in them, and that statement was said with sarcasm. A MAJORITY of poor people aren't lazy, but some are.

And a few posts up I stated what I believed should be done, so ya'll can go back and look.

There are better people to ban haha. That jeffersondavis character should go first. Aspendukes hasn't even "posted skimpy pics yet" hahaha

It is definitely true that there are poor people who are lazy and abuse the system...

just as there are rich people doing the same thing.

If you truly believe that every rich person worked honestly, legally, morally, and fairly for their money, you are out of your mind.

Many, the majority for sure, of people with lots of wealth worked hard, whether it be through schools, through the corporate ladder, through unique and creative innovations in their industry, and so on.

But there are people who make minimum wage working just as hard. There is no question there is unfair levels of opportunity in this country, and while MANY people are able to come from nothing and be very successful, the path is much more difficult to come by. And to suggest that the poor who are unable to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year are lazy because of it is fucking pathetic.

Again, its not the poltical views that I dislike about you...you're making bad assumptions about me again...

It's your sense of rational for supporting those ideals that scares me and I'm tired of the arrogant and uneducated opinions you continue to pass off as 'intelligence' in the forums.

Hopefully thats concise enough for you to understand...

alright. at least I can settle for that, although I seriously just wanted a yes or no to my quote....

and I think the best way to state this is that PEOPLE are lazy. Rich, poor, middle class, it is not a personal characteristic that has a financially driven demographic. It is just easy to call poor people lazy because in our society wealth is often a judge of how hard someone works in their life, and while it is one gauge of this...it is not the only way to determine what defines laziness or success.

I think people definitely need to remember when having discussions like this, it is often hard to interject sarcasm, especially online.

Seconded. Pappasteez says some craaaaazy shit sometimes.

As far as screening people so they only get what they deserve....it would take too much effort and money.

there is no way she will get banned for political views. While some mods generally would like to on a personal level, we are not normal members and recognize that she is a NS contributor just like any other members ....regardless of what she says as long as it remains within the rules of the site.

i, along with most of ns, have no problem with opinions, when they are rationally stated and based off of fact. however the vast majority of your postings lack that. which is disappointing because i think you have a pretty good head on your shoulders, you just dont always speak what your thinking very well.

So this is all because you are scared of me? I have the same views as Palin and many other fine politicians. I'm scared shitless of what Obama could do, but you don't see me aiming my rifle in his direction. Also, a lot of Liberals resort to calling Conservatives stupid. It's just a trait that you possess when you have nothing else to say. C'mon, Ryno. Welcome to Earth, and welcome to the US where we have freedom of speech and idea.

Sometimes, I could swear you're actually a really, really well-executed alias who's just here to fuck with us.

what? please explain to me how she is a fine politician. and dont be sarcastic and condescending, im curious as to why you think that.

Me as well. And no bullshit, no name calling.

I am completely serious here, because too often we get off the issues and these political discussions turn to shit.

I am truly interested in what you like/dislike about her politically...McCain as well if you like.

Allow me to clarify something and contradict my fellow green names in the process... there is no requirement that any banning be "justified". In fact about 2 weeks ago I started flipping a coin regarding Ryno. He's been very lucky so far. But one day soon...

I am not good at putting my mind on paper. In fact I suck at it. I can talk faster and better than I can type.

I like Palin because she speaks her mind unlike many other Conservative/Republican politicians. I like what's on her mind.

Bill Gates saw a need and fulfilled that. location and money didnt matter. if you can invent somethin that everyone could benefit from, you too can be as rich as him. he was also a harvard grad so you cant pull the "no college" excuse on us.

To the creator, that was a dick move considering 80 percent of the server's income comes out of tips. At least in Washington it is.

That isn't true. My girlfriend busses tables and makes more salary than tips mostly, and she works at a nice place that is $30-$50/plate.

Look I hate to be cynical (I use the phrase rhetorically as I in fact don't mind being cynical at all), but... why in God's name are you trying?

It is sunday, the broncos have a bye, and the new dexter and californication aren't on for a few hours...does that suffice??

Barack speaks his mind too. check the article i posted in my last thread. What do you like about what's on her mind?

hahaha o please. you NEVER get a yes or no answer out of anyone on NS...

if it were that easy i could just ask loaded questions and make anything look good or bad. (well almost anything)

when did you stop beating your wife? hahahaha

republican talking points/

she has a proven track record of reform.

she takes on corruption in her own party.

she has a hard line position on fighting for the people.

she has given money back to the citizens of alaska when the state had a surplus.

she is not a Washington insider.

she motivates the base.

she is great at communicating with people.

she makes people feel as if she is talking to them individually.

she will be the hottest VP ever!

/ end republican talking points.

(ok i threw the last one in there ;)

It's a Conservative thing. A Liberal, such as yourself, can't see what potential is there. If McCain dies then...WOOT!

[/sarcasm]

haha haven't yet...so I think you are probably in the clear.

I will probably think of a few as I go, and to keep this simple, let's go one at a time for the sake of keeping it focused.

One of the biggest concerns on my mind about Sarah Palin is, in the event that McCain passed and she became president, OR even while McCain was president, how would she respond to some sort of international threat posed by a foreign nation such a Russia, China, Iran, etc. She has stated that because of Alaska's proximity to Russia she has the foreign policy experience to deal with countries that could posse a threat to the US. Russia and the United States have been developing a level of tension not really seen between the two countries since the cold war....

What about Sarah Palin's experience do you think truly justifies her claim that she has legitimate foreign policy experience and how do you believe her foreign policy experience makes her a more suitable elected official than Joe Biden or Barack Obama?

this is where you test your spinning skills and dodge the question. haha

spin it!

to the effect yes she did say that.

ill give you some ammo. Barack. Iran is a tiny country and poses no serious threat (Google the exact quote)

Here are two foreign policy videos. Feel free to comment on anything you here.
