nah, i was referring to the first paragraph. however i just read the rest of it, i didnt understand a good portion of it.
 
i think its total bull shit. even if our lives are a simulation how could we ever find out thus disprving it to begin with. its just like saying fate exists. it may exist but no one knows who knows or plans this fate so does it really even matter?
 
well if this was a simulation it would want to be accurate, so the time frame would be similar, so wouldnt the "controller" age at the same rate that we do so it wouldnt actually work.... i think someone was tripping when they thought of it, and he even says its a small chance... it seems very unlikly, does this super computer not need to reboot cause that would suck
 
I was thinking the same thing as you. This is what I came up with. We have no way knowing how fast or slow "IT'S" day is compared to our day in the sim. So "IT'S" days could be way slower than our day, or our day length may change and we have no way of knowing, kinda like we would have no way of knowing if the earth slowed down in rotating or speeded up "if there is no star sun and junk like that."
 
i only read the first 2 paragraphs but i think i got the jist of ti. ive often pondered the same thing.
 
I wouldnt really consider that profound. . . I'm sure that everyone has thought about a concept similar to this before.
 
A lot of people have thought of this before. So pretty much a guy made a virtual world so he can interact with it.

But this is like saying that the people in a video game, like world of warcraft, are actually real people that don't realize there in a video game.
 
think about it........

our bodies are made by DNA and RNA. These two chemicals make us who we are. Our hair color, skin color, personality, height, weight, etc. DNA is made up by Guanine, Thymine, Adenine, and Cytosine. These 4 chemicals in specific order code for who we are. RNA polymerase reads this code and translates it into our character and personality. DNA is the blueprints to our bodies. Now think about a computer. Computers are dictated by codes. The codes are read over in the computer to determine programs and the way it works. My point is that we our similar to computers. Both computers and humans use code to determine traits and programs.
