Dear NS members,
Just wanted to speak my mind. Yes, NS is cool, we get to see what's going on in the skiing community, watch videos, see pictures, post our findings, and discuss things. Which is why I'm creating this thread. I'm assuming the reason NS was created was to bring together the freestyle skiing community, the great idea that brought everyone on here today, together. I don't sign on very often, maybe once or twice a month. The past few times I'v signed on and watched videos I realize how many people don't appreciate the amateur side of the sport. Every time a major name in the sport comes up in a video, kids hop all over it like candy. As soon as an amateur or unknown rider drops an edit, movie, etc. It gets ridiculously hated on no matter what. I feel that recently more people are signing on, tooling around, hating videos, instead of being out where we should be. ON THE SLOPES. We made this into something, that I don't think it was created for. Clean it up, erase the hate, and lets make it fun again. Tons of people want to have positive criticisms and want to learn from them. Hating will get everyone nowhere. Instead of spending your time on NS and making it your life to be on here. GET OUT THERE AND RIDE!!

As much as I want this to be true, it's never going to happen.

And you are going to be called out as a troll. I'm not 100% sure if you are a troll or not though.
 
In all seriousness, i think you coudn't be more wrong

When i see someone post an edit, i usually don't see people hating unless it's an obvious trololol or it is about the actual editing. For the most part, 95% of the time it's good, positive feedback
 
I agree completely with you, 100%.
I have seen a lot change over the years being on NS and skiing a ton myself. The progression of skiing has its ups and downs, but at the heart of it is the same feeling we all get when we land a perfect trip, ski deep powder, or speed down steeps. That's what is important.
 
i think hes talking about how people post a video that they are proud of but really isnt all that good compared to others and all they get is hate and no encouragement. yes?

i should clarify that I agree mostly with your last sentence. I don't really pick up as much amateur hate as you do i think.
 
it's a matter of using the site right. If you post a new, amateur edit in ski gabber, you'll get a mix of responses. Some assholes, some great. NSG, there's just about no hope. Regionals you'll get decent responses, but not many. Media/arts usually is the most helpful with such matters. There are some incredibly talented individuals who frequent that forum and can offer immense help.

The fact is that if you want a good response, you don't post it in non-ski gabber, because nsg just won't care. And it's really the 1 part of the site where they don't have to.
 
If you think a decent sized internet forum without trolling and hate is possible. You are an idiot, plain and simple.
 
go look at some of the first stuffon this site and everything is soo posotive, and everyone supports eachother, if someone has a story they get real respinses not gtfo or coolsstory bro.. idk what this threads saying but thehate needs to stop.
